Peace, Gods Mercy and Blessings on you!
Do you ever feel like you're pouring all this effort into "self-care" – the baths, the face masks, the quiet time – but somehow you still feel drained, disconnected, and like it's just not hitting the mark? You're not alone. It's frustrating when the things that are supposed to nurture us feel… empty.
EFor too long, the idea of self-care has been presented as a purely external checklist. But what happens when those activities don't actually address the deeper needs within us? You might find yourself:
- Going through the motions: Checking off self-care tasks without feeling any real benefit.
- Still feeling disconnected: Even after "pampering," there's a sense of something missing.
- Wondering what you're doing wrong: Feeling like you're failing at self-care itself.
- Ignoring your inner voice: Focusing on what you should be doing instead of what you truly need.
It's time to redefine self-care and tap into what truly nourishes your soul: connecting with yourself.
In my latest video, I share more about this:
Why Your Self-Care Feels Like a Fail (and What to Do About It)
A new program for you
I initially planned this program to focus specifically on navigating the impact of parental abuse. However, many of you have reached out with questions about a wider range of challenging family dynamics – from sibling relationships and in-law conflicts to issues with aunts, uncles, and beyond.
Because of this, I've broadened the scope of the program to address all familial relationships, focusing on how to maintain connections with your kin while staying true to yourself and prioritizing your well-being.
I'm really interested in understanding what specific challenges, questions, or concerns come up for you when you think about navigating these broader family dynamics. Your input will be incredibly valuable in shaping the program to best meet your needs.
If you're willing to share, please take a few moments to fill out this Google Form. It would be amazing and will directly help me tailor the program to address what's most important to you:
Thank you for being here with me
Take care of yourself sister :)
