Peace, Gods Mercy and Blessings on you!
Did the Eid bring back old, familiar pains? The smiles, the gatherings… sometimes, family isn't a safe haven. If you found yourself navigating difficult dynamics, gaslighting, or emotional abuse this past week, know this: you're not alone. Your experience is valid, and healing is possible.
Eid, a time meant for joy and connection, can be incredibly challenging when family relationships are strained by abuse. For many, it's a stark reminder of the patterns that have shaped their lives – patterns of manipulation, control, and invalidation. You might have experienced:
- Gaslighting: Being told your feelings are wrong or exaggerated, making you doubt your own reality.
- Emotional Blackmail: Being pressured or guilt-tripped into compliance.
- Dismissiveness: Your needs and feelings being ignored or minimized.
- Control and Isolation: Being cut off from support systems or having your choices dictated.
These experiences, especially during a time meant for celebration, can leave you feeling deeply isolated and confused. But you don't have to carry this burden alone.
In my latest video, I share the two times difficult people will test you through abuse or using you.
Here it is:
You're Not Overreacting: 2 Times Toxic People Systematically Abuse You
A new program for you
Understanding and validating your experiences is the first step towards healing. This isn't about blaming or dwelling on the past; it's about reclaiming your power and creating a future where you feel safe and supported.
I'm launching a new program designed specifically to address the complex trauma of parental abuse. It's a safe space where you'll:
- Learn to recognize the patterns of abuse.
- Develop tools to heal from emotional wounds.
- Build healthy boundaries.
- Connect with others who understand (if you choose)
Additionally, I'm launching a series called "Taboo Topics," where we'll bravely address the issues that often go unspoken, including the difficult realities of family dynamics and other super unspoken about issues our muslim community is dealing with. I intentionally created this program with a sensitivity to the topic so you can attend it in a way which is anonymous and I have added a one on one coaching element so you can get the direct support you need without worrying if others are judging you. Trust me, I totally get it.
If you're ready to break free from the cycle of abuse and embark on a journey of healing, I invite you to join the waiting list for my upcoming program. Spaces are limited, and this is your chance to prioritize your well-being. Don't let another Eid, or another day, go by feeling invalidated and alone. Click here to join the waiting list and take the first step towards a brighter future:
Remember, your feelings are valid, your experiences are real, and healing is within reach. You deserve peace, and you deserve to be heard. I am here to support you.
Stay strong sister :)
With love and peace,
