Question of the Week
Q: Can anyone become a hockey advisor?
A: The short answer to this is NO, however, there can be many nuances to this question. When we look to hire an advisor at AHA, our most important requirement is that the person has played hockey at a high level. As a mentor/advisor to a player, we want someone who has gone through the ups and downs themselves and understands the life of a hockey player; in other words, someone who can relate to what their players are going through and guide them through the process. On top of this, an advisor's prior experience in hockey enables them to have strong connections with coaches across Canada and the US, which can be utilized to help place their players. While anyone can call themselves an advisor, it's important to note that there are special requirements you should look out for when choosing your advisor.
