Question of the Week

Q: How much does Jr. Hockey cost?

A: It depends on the league. Major Junior leagues pay their players a bit, Tier 1 & 2 leagues in the US, as well as Western Canadian leagues are typically all free or close to it, and the remaining leagues charge players somewhere between 5-12K plus billeting and other fees. If you want a more in depth analysis, check out our video: Jr. A Hockey Leagues that are FREE to Play (or Close to It)

Also, make sure to do your research with each team that you're interested in to see exactly what the initial cost is. From there, if your options are only pay to play teams, try to negotiate the price down with them to get the best deal possible.
