Hi ,
Today’s devotional invites you into a gentler understanding of healing.
Scripture:
“But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,” declares the Lord. - Jeremiah 30:17
Many of us imagine healing as a sudden moment, instant relief, instant clarity, instant freedom. And sometimes God does heal that way. But more often, healing unfolds slowly, tenderly, in layers.
Sometimes healing looks like allowing yourself to grieve what you lost. Sometimes it looks like choosing forgiveness even when the pain hasn’t fully faded. Sometimes it looks like learning to be patient with yourself again.
God is not rushed. He is intentional.
If you feel like you’re still limping, still processing, still becoming that doesn’t mean healing isn’t happening. It may mean it’s happening deeply. Restoration is rarely loud. It’s steady. And it’s guided by a God who knows exactly how much your heart can carry at each stage.
You are not weak for needing time.
You are not behind because you’re still healing.
You are being restored - even when it feels unfinished.
Reflection:
What wound might God be gently inviting you to bring into His presence today?
As you move through the day, resist the urge to rush your healing. Let grace lead. Let God set the pace.
Healing doesn’t always look how you expect but it always leads toward wholeness.
