When God Seems Silent

Silence doesn’t mean absence - sometimes it means God is working deeper.

Hi ,

Today’s devotional speaks to one of the hardest parts of faith - the quiet seasons.

Scripture:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. — Isaiah 55:8–9

There are moments when you pray and feel nothing shift. Moments when heaven feels quiet and clarity feels far away and if you’re honest, you start wondering whether God is still near.

But silence is not the same as absence. Often, God does His deepest work beneath the surface shaping trust, refining discernment, and teaching us to rely on who He is rather than what we feel. What looks like stillness to us may actually be preparation.

God’s ways don’t always move at the speed of our expectations. His thoughts are higher, His timing wiser, His purposes more complete than we can see in the moment.

If you’re in a quiet season right now, resist the urge to panic or self-blame. This may not be a sign to strive harder, it may be an invitation to trust deeper. To stay rooted. To remain open even without immediate answers. God has not stopped speaking. He may simply be inviting you to listen in a new way.

Reflection:

How can you stay anchored in trust when God feels distant or silent? Today, let silence draw you closer instead of pushing you away. Stay present. Stay expectant. Stay faithful.

Holding space with you,

Agatha
