Changes are Coming...
May 02, 2026 5:01 pm
May is starting with a lot of upheaval and changes to where my books will be available to readers. If you haven't heard, Draft2Digital decided to charge a twelve-dollar fee to authors making under 100 dollars annually on their platform. I use D2D for wide distribution, and have for years, but unfortunately my earnings fall far below their limit, so their new fees will claw back a large part of my small royalties. So, I am leaving the platform. I don't want to, but there is little choice if I want to keep the money I rightfully earned.
What this means for my readers.
I will be delisting all my books from Draft2Digital and uploading them directly to the major platforms, so my books will still be available on Kobo, should return to Barnes and Noble and possibly Apple (I'm still looking into the requirements for that one). They will still be available through the Overdrive library system as well.
However, they will be gone from many smaller retailers, especially overseas retailers, Hoopla and other library systems, Fable, Everand, Smashwords, and the ebooks will no longer be distributed to Bookshop.org (but some of my print books are still listed there). And of course, my Amazon books are unchanged, with the exception of Chronicles of the Undead, which will come off D2D and go up on Amazon directly through KDP.
And if that sounds very confusing, it is, but the gist of it is that my books on any retailer other than Amazon will be disappearing and reappearing, or leaving for good. But I will be creating a digital store on my website, so soon you will be able to buy books from me without going through a retailer.
I have the first three books shifted over on Kobo. Here is the new link for Saga of the Outer Islands.

Book News
As you can imagine, I have been busy with other things, so not a lot of progress on my writing, but I managed some editing on Adventure at Reichenbach and on Shadows of the Dead, my Victorian demon horror novella that I want to serialize on Laterpress. I also wrote a bit more in the Heyward and Andersen bonus story.
This Draft2Digital mess had screwed with my publishing schedule though, so I can't give you a timeline right now, although Adventure at Reichenbach will be released sometime this year, and maybe Shadows of the Dead will be serialized. But it looks like I may have to push back the publication of the Obsidian Blade series until next year. So sorry, but moving all my books and starting over is extra work I didn't count on.

SUPERNATURAL SUSPENSE
Last Stop by Gloria Oliver
The heist was a deadly trap and sealed her fate. She finds an unexpected sanctuary harboring supernatural dangers. Can she find a way to stay alive?
Daniela Martinez is terminally screwed. She was the top pickpocket of her group until a jealous rival used her partner to trick them into an unsanctioned job and then ratted them out, knowing there would be lethal consequences. Dani has no choice but to flee and strive to defy the odds so she doesn't end up in the gutter as an unidentified victim of murder.
Seeking refuge in an old Japanese restaurant, her relief is short-lived as she comes face-to-face with her partner's newly made ghost. If Dani won't agree to work there and help departed souls with their unfinished business, she will meet her predestined pain-filled end.
Can Dani learn to aid lost souls rather than become one of the dead?
Last Stop is the shocking first book of the Dead's Unfinished Business supernatural suspense series. If you like feisty underdogs, pulse-pounding fantastical scenarios, and juggling between reality and the supernatural, then you'll love Gloria Oliver's enthralling adventure.
