How retiring at 33 and becoming a multi-millionaire isn't what you think

What's good ,

There's a lot going on in the world.

But hopefully, you aren't letting these "distractions" stop you from living your life to its fullest.

Nevertheless, I was talking to a 'youngin' at the coffee shop the other day. I'm a shade over 30, so I think I'm allowed to say this...right???

Anyway, he's just getting his career started. And he's feeling a dip in his motivation, but yet, has all of these dreams.

What's he to do?

Simple: "learn to work without motivation."

I didn't come up with that advice. My recent guest, John Sonmez, founder of Bulldog Mindset, did.

You see, on paper, John has it all now: six-pack abs, a large following, and is a multi-millionaire that's only increasing his wealth by the day.

However, it was anything but easy for John. In fact, at one point, he was stuck in mediocrity and was rocking a size 46!!!....Yikes.

I waited specifically for this period to release this episode.

In the states, people are losing their damn minds over an election. As a whole, collectively, we're still dealing with uncertainty in various aspects of life due to the pandemic's effects. And lastly, many have let their fitness slipped (hello "COVID-15" & "Pandemic Pounds".)

Here's the good news and bad news: it's up to you to change it.

Your government, your family, nor your favorite athlete is coming to your rescue. They aren't your saviors.

You are your savior. Let this marinate in your subconscious. Say this to yourself over and over if you need to.

If you find yourself in a rut right now, find yourself with a losing streak, find yourself with a little extra flab compared to 7 months ago, or find yourself with little-to-no swag left in the reservoir—join the club.

Many are there with you.

Here's more good news and bad news: your problems aren't unique.

Everyone is going through their own storm and roadblocks. They may seem different from the surface. But if you peel back the layers, they're more similar than you think.

Now, enough bathing in your problems and looking at what's wrong. What can you do about the situation?

The best (and really, the only thing) you can do is control what you can in the present—this very moment. And then, manage for the future.

As Ray Dalio states in Principles: "Don’t confuse what you wish were true with what’s really true" and "Don’t let pain stand in the way of your progress."

Everything you're mad about it, channel into something productive. Nearly 6 months later, I'm still pissed about how my dad had to leave this world. I hate seeing people being manipulated on all sides of the aisle as if they're pawns or bishops.

However, I'm not complaining about it on social media. I'm in the lab, finding and creating positive outlets to channel this.

I suggest you do the same with your pain and frustration.

What are some things you can do to start building momentum:

  1. Take back control of your health & fitness. This is your most valuable currency. No excuses. What's in the past is irrelevant. Only focus on the now. Start by doing hard shit. For example, I hate running and other various forms of conditioning. But I do it now to earn self-respect. Doing things you don't want to do, but you know you need to do, is a superpower. That's being superhuman.
  2. Listen to this episode if you need some mental readjusting on finding your purpose

If you need some accountability or support, I'm gotcha ya back, even if everyone else around you is a weakling—shoot me a email.

Stay awesome & be limitless,

Julian
