Welcome back, !!
The Holiday season is a special time of year. While it can be hard for some, there is an undeniable magic that permeates the season. Snow on the ground, Holiday lights, the feelings of good cheer and good will. It's something you can get lost in if you allow yourself to.
I try to be as charitable as I can on the Holiday season (and the rest of the year, but I like to try to make the holidays special for those who might not feel that magic) so, I will donate extra food or blankets to shelters, I always drop change in the Salvation Army buckets on my way into Wal-Mart and I love buying extra toys to drop them in the Toys for Tots boxes.
How do you give back on the holiday season?
Let's spread some cheer!
Another way I like to spread cheer in by giving away Free Fantasy! So, brace yourself, there is a Library's worth of books in this week's Newsletter. Take your time and take as much as you would like!!

Beast Be Gone
Creatures in your basement? Undead spooking your castle? Infestation of goblins? Beast Be Gone will clear out those pesky pests and save your health and business - (no dragons)
Adventurers rampage across the land, stealing everything from bread rolls to ancient heirlooms, slaughtering countless innocent monsters in their hunt for glory.
Eric, the owner of Beast Be Gone pest control, knows that most creatures can be removed with a bit of repellent, however, the adventurers want to do things the flashy way; blowing up half of the dungeon with fireballs in the process.
With no work left, Eric is broke and desperate. That is until a young woman equipped with mechanical gadgets becomes his apprentice. Together they uncover the mystery of a diabolical plot that answers the timeless questions about adventuring...
Why are there so many Chosen Ones? Are goblins inherently evil or are they just misunderstood? Why do all the shopkeepers say they have the best swords in the land? What are the socio-economic implications of all these sword merchants?
Somebody wants a world full of adventurers, but why...?
Glimmers in the Night
The wind howled and knocked the naked tree branches together, rattling them like bones in a basket. Jeth would know - he’d seen his mother at work. She was dead now, dead and burned in a pyre...
Jeth knows only three things - his mother is dead, his home will be taken from him, and his best chance for survival is to find an apprenticeship as a witch.
His only mistake was stealing his mother's crystal ball, when he wasn't allowed to take anything. Fleeing the only home he's ever known, Jeth evades his neighbors, struggles with his magical powers, and accidentally makes a bargain with a faerie.
Jeth isn't sure he can trust the faerie Aneirin, but all he has to do is travel with the creature to the next town over -- and then he would be free to start a new life, a different life.
Or was his future already set in stone?

Music Fueled by Fantasy
For me, writing Fantasy requires me to be in the right mindset to create, to feel the magic and wonder of the world's I'm working on. Some of the best music to catapult me right into those worlds is Symphonic Metal. It feels like you step right into an epic Fantasy world every time you listen to it. Often these bands who perform it also create an epic landscape of sound to put you into that wourl.
I just stumbled across this band the other day and now they will definitely be added to my writing playlists. Check them out and tell me what you think!
