Project Update
One perk of following this newsletter is you will read unedited work sometimes from me or works in progress as they go. This week happens to be an unedited work! (And laugh at how bad unedited work is. 😂)
My debut novel, The Glitch is coming out just after the new year and I'm giving you a glimpse into the unedited FIRST CHAPTER. This is the raw version of word vomit I spit out when writing it, but I want to share it with you anyway. 😂

The Glitch
It’s been ten years since the event scientists dubbed The Glitch left Earth unrecognizable. Entire cities disappeared—overnight. New species appeared on Earth while others vanished.
The New Earth Initiative has banded together to regain control and stabilize the regions of Earth that are still habitable. Their crown Jewel and the first of their walled cities opens its gates today to register new citizens.
New Boston is meant to be a beacon of hope after a decade of fear and uncertainty. Governor Amelia Chase has teamed up with visitors' rights committees to encourage anyone with powers to apply for citizenship and receive an immediate upgrade to first class citizen as an incentive. We are finally regaining a sense of normalcy. That is until our exploration units found two identical pods in different parts of the country with technology way beyond our comprehension. What could they be doing on this new Earth?

Music Fueled by Fantasy
This song has some pretty special meaning, I think a lot of people can relate to. The song was inspired by how the Pandemic affected the music world. They were pulled off tour and nobody knew if live music would continue. In that uncertainty, the band knew there was one thing they could do... get in the studio and make more music!
So, this song is about rising above any issues that may arrive and finding a way to make your dreams happen no matter what. People hold themselves back from moving forward a lot because they are afraid of what they will lose despite all the things they could gain. This song is about being afraid and going for everything you want anyways and to let go of those things holding you back.
This means a lot to me, especially as a creative. There are a lot of feelings of imposter syndrome or not being good enough as a creative and seeing other artists take this stand is definitely inspiring.

This Week's Food Fantasy
I admit, before I found this recipe, I hadn't heard of this series, but now I'm definitely going to go check this out! I wasn't sure how I would feel about a meat roll... it just sounds disgusting. 😂 But once I looked at the recipe, I really want to try one of these.
