Heavy Metal
This weekend, I'm taking my kiddo to Michigan Metal Fest!! I'm so excited and I think he is going to have a blast as well! It's going to be an all-day festival from 11am - 11:30pm, in the blistering heat for most of the day, but it's worth it, that's what we go through for the things we love, right?
So, this week, I'm going to feature a couple of the acts from Michigan Metal fest and maybe I will share some pictures next week. 🤘
This first band is one I've never heard of until I saw their name on the festival line-up, but they really surprised me. They have a lot of raw talent in their sound, and their singer is really talented. They kind of give me a vibe that's like a mix of Otep and Arch Enemy which creates this hauntingly heavy sound. Check it out!
Mantra of Morta - Abyss Walker
Mantra of Morta - Fremen
This next one is quite a bit heavier and uses much darker imagery, so that's just a heads up for you! They are really talented though and have been on the scene for several years, but don't get a ton of recognition. I'm talking about the Convalescence. Let's check it out!
The Convalescence - One of the Dead
If you want any more info on the festival check out their website! I'm sure I will have some stories next week! 😂
