Heavy Metal
This has been a crazy week in Rock and Metal. If you haven't seen the news yet, the rock community was just rocked by the loss of Taylor Hawkins. Taylor was best known as the drummer of one of the biggest rock bands today, The Foo Fighters. So, I'm going to dedicate this week's Metal section to Taylor Hawkins. May we remember him through his music and all the good he's brought to the world.
Rest in Power, Taylor.
Read his Obituary here
We'll kick it off with a Foo fighters classic. This is a perfect tribute to the band and the untimely loss of Taylor.
The Foo fighters - Times Like These
Here is a little heavier track from the Foo Fighters. Rock on, Taylor! 🤘
The Foo Fighters - All My Life
I wasn't going to do 3 tracks in this weeks news letter, but I HAVE to include this song. This is one of my favorite Foo Fighters songs.
The Foo Fighters - Everlong
Finally, I'm going to wrap up with the project that they JUST released. The Foo Fighters have been filming a movie called Studio 666. The movie follows a Thrashy Black Metal band called Dream Widow as they move into an old, haunted house to record their new album. But along the way, they find the house really is haunted and the band members slowly become possessed. Dave, Taylor and the boys released an entire album as Dream Widow to go along with the movie and it's actually REALLY good. Check it out!!
Dream Widow - Come All Ye Unfaithful
Check out the official trailer for Studio 666 here
