Quick update on Australia's under 16 social media ban

Hey . Michael here.
Since the social media ban for under 16s (or to put it more bluntly: "papers please" to access the Internet) came into effect last month, figures provided to the eSafety Commissioner by the 10 social media platforms that were formally covered by the ban at launch (which does NOT include Substack), show that a total of 4.7 million accounts across these platforms were restricted.
Out of those 4.7 million, 544,052 were restricted by Meta across Facebook & Instagram.
To add an insult to injury, eKaren herself ( US-born Julie Inman Grant) received the Australian Public Service Medal at a ceremony yesterday (which was Australia Day) for her:
Outstanding public service to the improvement of online safety for Australians.
As a reminder, many of the architects of Australia's very harsh COVID measures have also been "honoured" for their 'service'.
The social media ban she spearheaded was specifically named as the reason for this award and the literal retard who is currently cosplaying as Australia's Prime Minister referred to the ban as:
a source of Australian pride.
But sure, do tell me more about how the Commonwealth can be "reformed".
This is where I sit on the matter and what I consider as the ONLY viable path forward.
