Hello, and I hope that this finds you well.
I had a great time at Buddhafield festival, I ran two scything taster workshops and gave my talk welcoming the buzz of the wildflower meadow. They all went really well and I really enjoyed feeling part of something bigger, with so many wonderful things happening. A highlight for me was a singing workshop with Martha Tilston and Andy Raingold from Change in Nature, which is a great organisation worth checking out www.changeinnature.org
Something I am passionate about is gardens and how much of a difference they can make in so many ways. Please do not underestimate the impact that your garden can have. To support wildlife, inspire other people and as a place to enjoy and grow some food.
A push back that I often get from people about the impact gardens can have is that they won't change the world. To me that's the whole point. Personally, I am not looking to change the world. That's massive, to put it lightly and completely overwhelming. However, having a relationship with and tending to a patch of land is tangible, achievable and hugely rewarding.
Imagine if everyone focused on their gardens, built a relationship with it and their local community. The world would look like a very different place!
Talking of your gardens and building a relationship with it. The scythe is a tool that has really helped me to develop that relationship. I have two more courses this year so that you can learn this great skill. For more information and to book click here.
Until next time, happy gardening.
Warmly,
Ross
