Does It Really Matter?

Jul 13, 2020 7:17 pm

I was amidst a discussion with some folks last night interacting on our thoughts around leadership, education and nationality. The conversation got to a point where someone said

When you have a good name without money, you will eventually sell the good name to those who have the money.

Amazing!

This came after I said "A good name is better than silver and gold".

I guess you will have your view about this which I look forward to reading (Please, share your viewpoints as a reply).

We are in a generation where reward (no matter how it comes) is considered more essential than the process of getting it. We are in a time where the eagerness for recognition is considered more essential than the approach to rising there. We are in times where even when you become recognized and have built an acceptable name, your name becomes used to swindle others.

As you wake everyday and take your decisions, have you had to make the statement - "Does it really matter?". I say to you,,

The process matters just as the results.

The legacy you leave behind for a generation has a great impact on not just you but all who associate with and around you. A number of young folks do and have the 'live now, forget later' mentality.

I counsel that you put up security measures on your social media accounts by changing your passwords like your lingerie, do not click the 'remember password' button when you are not using your device, keep your banking details confidential and employ more of mobile transfers than ATM transactions. Invest your money with only tested and trusted investment platforms and not every none advertised around.

The crave for riches by all means is more now than ever. I encourage you to play your own security role well as it is demanded.

Cheers to you secured consciousness.
