🐾 This movie freaked us out. Snoopy included

Hello peeps,

Hope this email finds you well. We’ve been growing like crazy the past few weeks. To all the new members, welcome! I love how this list has turned into a mix of writing updates, book promos, movie and series reviews, and, best of all, photos of Snoopy.

If there’s anything you’d like to see more of, just hit reply and let me know!

📚 Promo!

For those who missed it, we just launched new covers for all of our short stories. You can find them featured in this new promo, which includes over 180 Sci-Fi and Fantasy books to explore.

You know the drill. Two links based on your birthday:

✍️ Divine King & Peón Oscuro

I finally wrapped up Act 1 of Divine King, the last book in the Leah Ackerman series. Act 2 is where the tension ramps up and things start to turn.

Also, big news: the Spanish translation of Dark Pawn (titled Peón Oscuro) is coming along great. Even if you don’t speak Spanish, there are exciting things in motion, so keep an eye out.

🎥 Longlegs

I've been craving a good slow-burn horror movie, and Longlegs hit the spot—for the most part. Neon, the studio behind it, has really stepped up lately, and Marika Monroe did a fantastic job portraying the neurodivergent agent Lee Harker.

But the crown definitely goes to Nicolas Cage. His portrayal of Longlegs was so unsettling it made Snoopy bark at the screen and scared both me and my friend Tyler. That said, the plot was a bit hard to follow, and the ending didn’t quite land. Some things were left unexplained, and I’m still wondering whether that was intentional or if I just missed something.

Still, a bold and disturbing suspense film with great acting. A 7 out of 10 from me.

Have you seen Longlegs? If so, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Also open to horror recs if you've got them!

🐶 "No, dad, I don't know who ate your sock."

That’s all for now. Wishing you a week full of chills, thrills, and great stories.

Stay weird and keep those pages turning,
