Hello peeps!
Tomorrow is my birthday! This year has been full of change, which, to be honest, I struggle with sometimes. But I’m learning to be more patient and to let things flow. Easier said than done, but I’m trying :D.
You know what would make my birthday extra amazing? A review on Amazon! If you haven’t left one yet, I’d really appreciate an honest review, whether it’s for the whole series or your favorite book so far. If you’re down to help a birthday kid out, click here!

📺 Series – Wayward
Okay, confession time: I’ve always been fascinated by cults. There’s something about how they can captivate even the smartest minds and push people into doing wild things that always intrigued me. So when Wayward dropped on Netflix, a show about a cult that claims to cure intergenerational trauma, I was instantly hooked.
It had all the right ingredients: unbreakable but toxic friendships, an academy with brutal social hierarchies, and a tense relationship between the town and the institution. The setup was amazing, but in the end, it left me with more questions than answers. No spoilers, but while the buildup was strong, the resolution didn’t quite land for me. Toni Collette, though, absolutely crushed it. She alone bumps it up in my rating. I’ll give it a 6.5/10. Weak ending, but still worth watching.
🎥 Documentary – Unknown Number: The High School Catfish
Netflix’s new documentary was both heartbreaking and deeply frustrating. I can’t say much without spoilers, but it’s an important watch. Why? Because it’s a sharp reminder that psychopaths exist, and they’re not always lurking in dark alleys. Sometimes they’re much closer than you think.
Not every manipulator is a serial killer, but many hide behind charm and empathy. We often assume people have good intentions, and that assumption makes us vulnerable. I also have mixed feelings about some of the producers’ decisions, but again… spoilers. If you’ve seen it, let me know what you thought!
🐶 Snoopy’s New Best Friend: Woodstock!
That’s all for today! If you’ve watched Wayward or Unknown Number: The High School Catfish, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Thanks, as always, for spending a little time with me. It truly means a lot.
Stay weird and keep those pages turning,
A.B. Cohen
