Hey Kebab Lovers,

It hurts me to say that we no longer have a store in London. After nearly a decade of serving you from our East London home and the birth place of WTP, the time has come to close our doors in Brick Lane.

Since Covid, running an independent vegan food business has been like fighting against the tide, and on a personal level, life has brought huge changes too.

In the last few years, I lost my dad, I became a father myself, and now I’m saying goodbye to something I’ve poured my heart and soul into building for almost a decade.

But life moves in seasons. And while this one is closing, it’s also full of gratitude.

From the very first day in that little green shed at The Pump, you our customers have made every single moment worth it. Together, we built something special, and the memories will stay with me forever.

As co-founders, Roj and I have also begun moving in different directions in our lives and businesses, which has played a part in this difficult decision.

That said, this isn’t goodbye. I truly believe What The Pitta will rise again in some new form.

For now, Brighton is still very much open (so come and see us by the sea!) and we’ll be keeping the festival spirit alive for many summers to come.

Thank you for being part of this wild journey. None of this would have been possible without you.

With love & gratitude,

Cem

This is so sad. I am so sorryy that the store is shutting down, you really have been my favourite place since I moved to this country. I am going to miss it so much. Thankyouu for all the delicious meals, and I wish you all the best for the next venture. I really do hope you’re able to re-open soon.
