Overruling a "Guilty Conscience"

Dear —

I am reading a biography of the great prophet Elisha by F.W. Krummacher (1796-1868). There, he muses on Paul's great ringing declaration: "Who shall bring any charge against those whom God has chosen?" (Romans 8:33)

Having dismissed angels and devils, along with other people, as potential bringers of condemnation, Krummacher then asks if our own conscience can bring a charge against us.

It's a good question, isn't it? For who is better informed to accuse us than our own conscience, which can draw on a lifetime of memories to gather evidence and afflict us with the "penance of perpetual regret"?

But here is how Krummacher responds: "What has the subaltern officer to do, when the supreme tribunal has already declared me guiltless?"

I love this. Regarding Conscience as a niggling nonentity, a powerless and insignificant petty officer trying in vain to be heard before he is thrown down to Oblivion. Meanwhile, we are immersed in Heaven's unanswerable roar of approval!

Thus may I declare...

GOD'S DECLARATION OF INNOCENCE HAS OVERRULED EVEN MY OWN CONSCIENCE!!!

And I have just added this sentence to my updated Gourmet Gospel book series.

The second penny to drop in reading Krummacher's book, was in the following passage, and bear in mind this was written in 1838!...

"What a mighty overthrew did the wisdom of this world recently experience from that dreadful disease which, more murderous than the destroying angel in Egypt, passed over a great part of the globe, from the east, and has not yet finished its circuit...

"Proud Science, which had bloatedly assumed almost the throne of Deity itself, was obliged to be content to confess, by the mouth of its most distinguished advocates, that it was unable to penetrate to the bottom of this mysterious evil."

Elisha, A Prophet for our Times, 1838

So, brothers and sisters, we have been here before! Humanity will be here again. I therefore appeal again, as I do in my book The Covid Prophecies and in this video, to respond therefore with love, for love casts out fear!

"Your loves as mine to you." (To quote Shakespeare, as I often do.)
