Dear —
It's sometimes a dilemma deciding how much personal stuff to share with readers. Shall I declare with haughty disdain, "But darlings, I'm an enigma!"...

... or bare my soul to complete strangers, some of whom have been reading my stuff for years, while others are newcomers?
Shall I admit to being a bit nutty?...

scary?...

ruthless?...

randy?...

Or just plain insufferable?...

Well, as Shakespeare put it, "One man in his time plays many parts."
(In the above photos, they are, respectively, Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Toad in Wind in the Willows, Harold in Orphans, Herod in Massacre of the Innocents, and the last two are Norman in Table Manners.)
These days, other than playing author and voice actor, I am also playing activist with the 'Audiblegate' movement, as we aim our slingshot at Amazon's gigantic audiobook subsidiary, Audible. To that end, I share more than usual in this short video as we garner support for our lawsuit. I'd be delighted if you join us!
I was always on a collision course with big corporations, and I have been spat out of more corporate jobs than I can remember. But Audible is about the worst I have ever come across, robbing independent authors of their livelihoods and pissing on culture in the process. (Graphic language, perhaps, but it's either that or expletives.)
In other news, that temptress Queen Jezebel has manhandled me with such dexterity that I have become her willing tool, spilling precious ink with my novela Jezebel's Lament. Her testimony is included in this book promotion. Click on my book cover there to hear me channel Jezebel's voice in the audiobook sample.
Finally, you can hear some of my recent choruses on political theatre here.
"Your loves as mine to you." (To quote Shakespeare, as I often do.)
Abdiel
P.S. -- For obvious reasons, please refrain from buying my audiobooks on Audible; get them at any other retailer.)
