As you will have gathered from the Preface, this book honors a promise I made to a dear friend and owner of an Afghan restaurant in midtown Manhattan. He outlined the plot to me from a traditional tale handed down through the generations of his family, and of course I invented around it!

Inventing around a plot is also the approach I used with Elijah, based on the great prophet's life as described in the Old Testament. But other stories, such as The Christmas Tree, I created from scratch.
So that's a bit of introduction to my books. I also work as an actor and thus record all my fiction, non-fiction, and epic poetry as audiobooks, making them available for direct purchase at deeply discounted prices here.
