What's an eSIM?

Some news and (hopefully useful) information from David Withington

Hello

May I wish you a Merry Christmas.

And a big welcome to the latest subscribers. Thanks for trusting me with your email address.

It's been a while since I wrote something new. But today, I did. :)

eSIMs are relatively new inventions. They're great if you want to travel and use use phone abroad - or even at sea.

So I've written an article about eSIMs.

What's an eSIM?

Funny?

The other day, someone asked me what ET is short for.

I considered his question, then replied:

"Because he has little legs," I said.

What's Happening?

Last week, we were on the wonderful Qunard Queen Anne cruise ship, where I was doing some talks, simplifying modern technology.

The sea was a bit bumpy as we sailed through the Bay of Biscay, but thankfully people still turned up.

Here's a photo from the first talk about the free Google tools such as Google Lens.

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a happy 2026.

Best wishes

David
