Oh, what a dilemma!
What's up, David?
Have you had the Covid vaccination yet?
I got mine.
But then a question popped into my mind.
How do I prove it?
Imagine booking a nice cruise.
You turn up at the port and a tall bearded uniformed official says,
"Excuse me." (or "Oy, Matey."). You can't go on that there cruise ship until you've shown me the official record of ye Covid vaccination."
So with a proud smile, you happily display the hand-scribbled card the nurse had given you.
It had been worth the pain in the arm to get that nice card to carry in your wallet or purse.
"Err, sorry, me matey," replies the official. "Them there cards can be forged. I need the official proof."
What's the official proof?
It's the NHS app.
So I downloaded it and tried it.
Those NHS techie gurus have done a good job with this.
My vaccination really record is on there. The date, the batch number, all of it.
So - as you'd expect - I wrote about it.
And I made a video.
All about how to get the app and what to do to find your vaccination record.
Where is it, David?
Ah yes. Great question.
Here's the article. You can also watch the video on there.
But if you prefer to watch only, here's the video.
Sorry if you live outside the UK, though.
Unfortunately, you can't have that particular app.
But I'm sure you'll have something similar, either now or in the near future.
And you can go on a cruise too
Oh, aye, me matey!
Hope you have a great weekend.
David
