Happy new year!
I hope 2023 brings you lots of joy and happiness.
2022 was a good year to me.
As I mentioned last time, it began my cruise ship speaking. Yep, doing lectures on cruise ships.
And that's why I say your New Year dreams really can happen.
How, David?
Well... since 2019, I've been running free local workshops, simplifying techie topics.
And as I accumulated this collection of presentations, covering topics such as free Google tools and how to beat scammers, I wondered if I could offer these to cruise ships as part of their enrichment programmes.
The first booking came in April. And I ended up on 6 cruises during 2022, doing lectures each sea day about a topic dear to my heart: simplifying technology.
The feedback was so encouraging, there were lots of questions from guests around the ship ...and people even kept coming back to subsequent lectures. 😃
Sometimes it was hard work, but I enjoyed every minute of it.
And what's not to love about a free cruise.
So...
If you want to see the world, talk about what engages you, and help people, perhaps you could start in your own town. Why not make 2023 a year of serving your community.
Perhaps start a workshop. Teach people what you know...

Don't let anyone put you off from achieving your ambitions in 2023.
I wanted to be an astronaut. But my parents told me the sky was the limit. 🤣
