I should be cleaning the house and clearing extraneous things out of the spare bedroom because my son will be returning in one week! 🥳 He's grown up since this pic, but he's still adorable. ➜➜➜

He'll be driving home from Vegas in two days and arrive in six! (If I could find an emoji of a dancing lady, I'd insert it here!!) ❤️

Meanwhile, The UConn women 🏀 won the Big East Tourney but the men lost in the semi-finals. March Madness 🏀 ❤️ moves on to the NCAA tournament next week!

For a change of pace, this weekend we watched that rom-com movie with Julia Roberts and George Clooney, Ticket to Paradise. I give it 3.5 Stars.

It was more poignant than funny, but I laughed at the scene where they played beer pong. (a game I've never played, but the fat lady hasn't sung yet...)

What movies have you watched lately ?

“O’Rourke texted me,” I say. “He invited me to his house to shoot pool with some of the guys.”

I don’t tell her she’s invited too. Instead, I watch the war on her face between her duty to keep track of me and her need to distance herself. I should be at least mildly insulted that she’s decided I must be avoided, but I’m not.

Of course not. Why should I be? She’s not my type either, in spite of all the uncontrollable chemistry. That’s just fucking deprivation playing tricks on me and I need to get used to it like an addict going cold turkey. The first couple of weeks are going to hurt and then I’ll be okay.

“Okay. Fine. O’Rourke can handle you for the night. If Coach trusts him to be the one in charge when you’re on road trips, I guess I can trust him for tonight.” She waves a hand. “But don’t stay out late because we have to move out in the morning and then you have a game.”

“Yes, warden. Anything else?”

“This is serious, Knight.” She deepens her scowl and stomps one foot, but it’s bare on carpeting so it doesn’t have the effect she’s going for, of putting her foot down. She doesn’t have the killer instinct of Delaney, who is filled with the innate ability to be mean when warranted. Not Harper. She’s soft.

So fucking soft and sweet I want to bite into her. Fuck.

“Yes you are, Harper. Serious as a nun.” And that’s exactly why you’re not my type.

I enjoy her glare. Maybe I should tell her she’s not my type, but I have a feeling she might take it the wrong way and I’m not into causing anyone to feel bad about themselves. Most women don’t want to be told they’re not your type, especially when you’re a so-called tomcat.

Meanwhile, we both know on some level she is my type because the fucking chemistry between us doesn’t lie. She’s right to push me away, to do the right thing, but I know it’s in spite of the fucking pull of lust between us.

She keeps her mouth shut and her eyes on me, stormy and troubled. Giving her a wide berth, I head to my room to dress.

But after I shut the door behind me, it’s obvious that my cock is still far too ready and worked up over our close encounter. I consider locking myself in my room and relieving my pent-up tension for a second time in ten minutes. This has to be a record. I don’t think a woman ever drove me to jerk off twice in ten minutes before.

Forcing myself to shove the idea from my head doesn’t work. No, I’m sure Harper is the proud record holder of driving me to jerk off more than should be healthy. And I shudder at how easy it would be to do.

All I need is to shut my eyes and remember the way her mouth parted, lips glistening and skin flushed, when she looked at me while I was naked and aroused with those glassy, promise-filled eyes like tempting emeralds. She stared at me like I was her next meal and she hadn’t eaten in a fucking long time.

Fuck. I slip a hand inside my shorts and grip my cock, giving it a squeeze.

Her mouth on me would feel so good, but I wonder how tight she would be if she let me inside her. If she’s been without a man for a very long time, she would strangle my cock, squeeze it until I could barely breathe.

I move my hand up and down my hardening shaft, not even giving a fuck if she hears me again. I’ve already given away the big bad secret that I’m a horny bastard and that I want to own her pussy in every way possible.

I lean against the wall as my legs shake with the thunder of blood rushing and...

EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT #5: The Puck Bunny

a hockey rom-com: Out on March 21st!

Sara

“You’re drinking Pepsi?” I say. Crap. “Oh—Never mind. I get it. The Pepsi is for Mindy.” I blush furiously because I’m pretty sure I’ve fully reverted to master of the art of tone-deaf repartee.

The server brings over the glasses and in spite of Jonas threatening to drink from the bottle, she pours us each a glass of whiskey. Mindy picks up the Pepsi, giving me a shake of her head like I’m a lost cause. Double crap. I’m supposed to be helping.

“Why don’t we sit down?” I say while everyone but me is drinking like they just came in from a month out on the Sahara desert.

Sheila nods and we maneuver it so Jonas sits next to Mindy in the booth and Sheila sandwhiches him in on his other side so he can’t escape. I sit next to Quinn opposite them. It’s all very cozy and tense and I decide this is a good time to have a nice big swig of my whiskey.

Unfortunately, I’ve never drunk whiskey before, so when I take a big gulp like the others, it doesn’t go well. And by that I mean as soon as the liquid from hell hits my throat, I spasm automatically spewing all over the table and in the direction of Jonas and Mindy in an impressive spray like I have a compressed air hose hidden in my mouth.

“What the hell?” Jonas puts up his hands to block the spray from hitting Mindy.

“Are you alright?” Quinn pats my back and hands me a napkin, staring into my watering eyes with real concern. He gets the server over to the table in a snap because of course the lady’s been staring at him the whole time waiting to be beckoned.

“A margarita with Patron for the lady.”

“Yes sir, right away.” The lady gives me a wistful look and dashes away like she’s in a race to please or as if her tip increases with every mph she goes.

“How did you know?”

“You mentioned something about tequila and I didn’t figure you for the type to drink it straight up.” The dimple pops, obliterating whatever sass I have. But it’s more than the dimple destroying me right now, it’s him and the gold medal attention he’s showering on me that has me self-conscious about my non gold medal self. In fact I’m so far from a gold medal I never even dreamed of competing for the Olympics of flirtation.

Of course that never stopped me from dreaming about the prize sitting in front of me. Maybe it’s time I man-up and jump in the game. I’ve already humiliated myself in front of this guy enough to know he’s too nice to make me feel any worse. Sliding my eyes over to check on Mindy and Jonas, I find them engaged in a tense conversation. I’m calling that progress, so I turn my attention to Quinn

“You’re too nice. You know that? Surprisingly nice because it’s something people never talk about. They can rattle off all your stats and talk about how many starlets or princesses you’ve dated but—” His amusement falters on the mention of the princess and I stop my stupid ramble because making him feel uncomfortable is far worse than whatever humiliation I could possibly inflict on myself. “Sorry. Don’t mind my ramble.” I touch his arm as the server returns with my margarita in the nick of time. As I pick up my glass and she disappears, I lean in and say, “But you really are super nice no matter what anyone says.”

Then I down the drink, by-passing the straw, not waiting to see if his dimple’s returned because my strength to withstand his intense eyes is waning. Not to mention all the girly parts are coming to life with a vengeance from my parched V right through my ovaries and all the way to my uterus squirming around and making me hot.

“Either you were very thirsty or you—”

“I was in need of courage,” I say with daring honesty. “You may have noticed I’m nervous.”

His dimple lights up. Everything in me lights up and I feel like a Vegas slot machine hitting the jackpot flashing and whirring with all my bells clanging loudly.

Sheila stands up, disrupting my moment, thank god.
