At SQ's House

Saturday I marched in the UConn Parade celebrating the Men's basketball championship with the Alumni Cheerleaders. We had a ball!! ➜➜➜➜

The best part was seeing all my friends from college, including one in from California--the captain of our merry cheerleading squad. At lunch after the parade, we caught up and reminisced--what times we had back in the 70s!! I could tell you stories... in fact, I will tell you stories--or fictionalized versions of them.

I have a special project brewing and I can hardly contain my excitement, but I'll wait to spill the details after Tricky Puck.

We were lucky to have such a fun excuse to get together. Thank you UConn Huskies! 🏀 ❤️

I'd never heard of a real life matchmaker before Grandma’s 90^th birthday.

But surprise, Grandma’s hired one—for me. 

WTF?

For her birthday wish, Grandma says she wants nothing more than to see me settled down.

Normally, I'd do anything for her, but this is a big ask. I'm as opposite of ready to settle down as there is.

I'm in my prime at twenty-five and a rising star in the NHL—otherwise known as a chick-magnet. No way am I letting go of that right now.

After all the hard work and focus I've put in to get to this point, I've barely begun to enjoy the rewards.

Besides, settling down is a big deal, something personal that takes time, not a fix-up with a stranger. Grandma’s matchmaking plan is crazy. Right?
