Name That Character Contest Winner Today!
Dear ,
Today I sincerely hope you are all well--as opposed to sick with Covid--like myself.
But I'm not so under the weather that I would not send you my newsletter. Writing and sending this to you each week has become an ingrained joy each week. Although I will admit that a number of years ago when I first started, it was much harder and a pain in the butt not as much fun.
In spite of everything, this week I made some progress on my new work-in-progress, The Holy Trinity, a romantic suspense story. In this story, I needed a name for the heroine, a badass beauty who is reunited with former special ops teammates.
Check out the WINNER for the Name That Character Contest Below⬇️⬇️⬇️
What's Next: I'll be jumping into my NEW SERIES next week. I've been excited about The Hockey Boys series for a while, doing some work on it in the background.
Patrick: The Jennings Brothers will be my next novel, a small town hockey romance with some Romeo & Juliette vibes because in this small town, there are two families who matter and they are rivals, competing at everything against each other--especially hockey.
This is no friendly rivalry and it started a long time ago, so Patrick must be crazy out of his mind to even think about romancing the treasured daughter from the other family.
You can pre-order Patrick: The Jennings Brothers now at Shop.Stephanie Queen or on Amazon
Also this week I have a special featured hockey romance authors and a book deal features to share with you. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
As always, I appreciate your time and attention to my newsletter, your kind, thoughtful replies and your generous support, very much.

At SQ's House
There's been a lot of covid-induced lying around this week.
Consequently, I have no picture for you today. I briefly entertained the idea of including a pic of me lying around, but what's the fun in that?
The only action shots I might have would be of me blowing one's nose or coughing. Don't worry, I realize we're all about romance here, not horror!
In the meantime, I have to admit the medication has worked--especially the cough medicine. I'm sleeping well. Maybe too well.
This is what I get for going to a crowded karaoke bar and singing last week, inviting all those germs in.
Seriously, I'm on the mend and excited to get back into my writing groove. Tomorrow.💜
Wishes for good health to you all!

One Good Puck - Sarah Smith
I’ve had a thing for Abby Taylor since the moment I met her.
She’s a beautiful, hardworking, and sweet single mom who I’ve never had the nerve to ask out.
When she and her daughter need a place to stay after losing their home, I offer up my house.
I tell myself we’ll just stay friends and roommates. No way she’d be interested in me, the workaholic head coach of the Denver Bashers, who’s more than ten years older than her and has been out of the dating game for so long, it’s not even funny.
But the more time we spend together, the closer we get. I open up to her about losing my wife years ago. She opens up to me about her awful ex.
And when she gets stood up one night, I swoop in and take her on a romantic date. One kiss leads to the hottest night of my life…which leads to a no-strings-attached arrangement.
Soon, my heart is involved. I never thought I’d find love again, but I’m falling head over heels for this incredible woman.
