Time for another Name That Character Contest!
πHello my creative reader friends!
Brick, aka Rick Blanick, has a housemate at BMOC House, the goalie on the SPU hockey team and the captain. All great, except he has no name. Currently, I'm typing XX where his name should be, so I need your help! π

βοΈMy Writing Progress
DELAY IN NOTORIOUS MAN ON CAMPUS RELEASE
With my apologies and regrets, I will need to delay the release of my next book until October 4th. In a crazy file saving glitch, I lost 20k words today in Notorious Man on Campus, wiping out more work than I care to think about.
But it was due to my own lack of concentration while saving a file to the wrong file name. Only an eight day delay. We can handle this, right?
To make up for the delay, I'm reducing the price to $0.99. Please stick with me.
Thank you.
In the meantime, my writing progress has gone backwards!
2021 so far: 350,929 words, 4.3 Novels, 1 Novella
2021 Goal: 515,000 words, 7 Novels, 1 Novella
At SQ's House -
After the file glitch and massive loss of words, I drowned my sorrows in a bag of chocolates. I'm better now. Seriously. This stuff works wonders.
Moving on, Does anyone know if there's such a thing as super heavy duty screens that are cat claw-proof? Well there should be, but I haven't found one. Little Kitty has become acclimated to her new home right down to the screen door and the new (annoying) kitty door she's created within it.
Lucky thing we have a super-duper electric fly swatter handy.
Still unpacking in between writing this weekend. How about you?π
What Am I Reading? This week I'm listening to Hard to Score by K. Bromberg, a hot football romance--sorry I dubbed this a hockey romance last week. I'm still listening to it not because it's not enjoyable, but because I haven't had as much listening time lately.
How about you? Anything different this week?

Something to Think About
π How about the enemies-to-lovers trope?
I love a good angst filled enemies-to-lovers story. The thing is though, it's very tricky to strike that balance for the enemy to be hateable and likeable at the same time. Sometimes as a reader, I take sides if the war is too intense.
On the other hand, the worst thing is one of those stories where the hate-reason is pathetically petty and you just want to roll your eyes.
Needless to say, this is one trope that is wicked hard to write! But I do anyway and give it my best shot.
When done right, all the angst oozes off the page and the fiery back-and-forth fuels a hot-hot story.
My favorite thing: That first breach of physical restraint, the first kiss
