Some events in this story may be true

Hello !
Happy October! I'm getting into the thick of writing The Cheerleader now and there are challenges!
It's a tricky thing to write a story about a time and place that you experienced, especially because you're not writing about yourself. It's fiction, and yet so real! I'm writing about a character who was a cheerleader at UConn in the 70's but she's not me at all.
Even though I want to represent the times, I need to remind myself that I don't have to write events and details exactly the way they were.
Like the time we went to the annual McMahon (dorm) cocktail party after a basketball game--in real life we didn't have time to change from our cheerleading uniforms when we showed up at the party. But in the story, I can dress my character up in her party dress, right?
All I need to do is decide which is more important--showing how much of college life cheerleading took up OR having the character dressed up for the party?
Giving the flavor of the times and some of the events and how things were, without being worried about the real details is harder than I thought it would be.
My automatic reflex is to try and be faithful to the actual details.
But don't worry--I'll get control of that reflex, wrestle it to the ground and crush it in orde to tell the best story possible!

At SQ's House
It feels like I've been traveling a lot because again this week, I wasn't at home! I was in Orlando with college friends! Here we're at Universal in Harry Potter land or world ??
Whatever they call it--it was a blast! ➜➜➜
My favorite was the quidditch ride simulating flight on a broom! (not sure what that says about me! Lol)
Never too old to do one of these crazy rides!!
Have you ever been to Universal Studios in Orlando? Am I right?
💜
Who else likes Universal better than Disney World?

“Did you see that boy in the ditch?” I jump up from the hard seat as the school bus drives past, and comes to a stop while I press my face to the window, trying to recapture my glimpse of him. Heart hammering, I grab my book bag, shove past Natalie who squeals when I step on her foot.
“Where are you going? This isn’t your stop.”
Ignoring her question, I run down the aisle to the front of the bus, heart still flying around inside my chest like a caged bird, and rush down the steps without looking back at the bus driver as she tries telling me the same thing. This isn’t my stop. It’s Liz’s stop and she’s at home sick the second day in a row.
Mom said it was okay to go over after school and bring her a get-well package. But instead of turning toward Liz’s house, I turn around and run back to where I saw that boy...

The Do-Over Girl
Nash
Are you really going to do this? Her phone rings again, and I go still, holding my breath, only my heart pounding. I should hang up and take this business to the shower to relieve my tension there.
“Nash…” Her voice is low and sexy and full of questions and maybe some answers.
“I changed my mind.”
She sucks in a breath. “I thought you might. You know I… want you so much, but I can’t have you. You’re all wrong for me, like that proverbial forbidden fruit.”
“What would you do with my fruit if you could have it?” My hand shakes as I hold the phone, fear and excitement mingle to bring me to the sharp edge of fucking delirious need.
“You know what I would do." There's a pause and all I hear is breathing--both hers and mine. And when I think she's going to end the call, she says in a whisper, "I would lick your dick until you—”
I suck in a breath. Jesus fucking Christ. My mind explodes with memories playing like an endless reel of fucking porn, taunting me. I push my hand into my boxers as sweat breaks out everywhere on my body.
“Nash?”
“I’m okay.” My raspy voice trembles, proving me a liar.
“I’m not okay.” Her voice shakes. “I’m so worked up and confused. How can I want you so much when I shouldn’t?”
“How much do you want me, Kali?”
There’s a beat of silence, and my heart pounds so loud in my ears I’m afraid I won’t hear her answer.
“So much…that I’m soaking wet and swollen, thinking about you on the other side of my wall, not being able to touch you, wishing you could touch me.” I hear her breath catch.
Fucking Christ. “I would drink every last drop of honey from your wet pussy. I could…live on your pussy juice all my fucking life.” I have to stop talking before I lose it, because I can’t stop pumping my cock. Pre-cum spills onto my fingers, and I spread it around and piston my hand up and down.
“Do it for me, Kali. Touch yourself like I would touch you. Dip your fingers in and take a taste for me.” Fuck, I’m getting so close my voice vibrates with the rising tension.
“Nash, I want to hear you come, I… I’m so… Ahh… Oh…my God, Nash… I’m…
