Would you be The Do-Over Girl?

💜💜💜💜💜💜

Hey there !

In between family visits and weddings and birthdays, I've been working on one of my favorite stories in years! I kid you not!

The Do-Over Girl is resonating with me in a way I never expected. Maybe it's because, like a lot of us, I had a high school romance that ended when I moved on after graduation.

NOTE: My high school romance did NOT include all the drama and angst and staying power that this story includes, no lingering deep-seated feelings or unresolved mess in real life for me!

But maybe I identify with this story because my high school reunion is coming up in a few weeks and I'll be going back. I tend to be a sucker for nostalgia!

Have you ever fantasized about going back to your old high school and meeting up with that long lost crush gone wrong so you could put him in his place--or have one more try?

My answer? Not. How about you?

Would you be The Do-Over Girl?

Kali Austin and Nash Lewis find themselves back at the scene of their biggest high school crime, their last disastrous meeting at Andrews Point Academy.

She's never forgiven him--or gotten over him. He's never forgiven her--or gotten over her.

See what happens seventeen years later when Kali and Nash see each other for the first time since that fateful night. They're supposed to set an example for the students--and supposed to work together to save the school from its demise.

You'll get all the tropes--second chance, returning home to confront your demons, a big juicy secret revealed, forced proximity, enemies to lovers and sizzling sensual tension--all with a side of humor.

If this sounds good to you, consider pre-ordering The Do-Over Girl now.😘

September 1st was my mother's 92nd birthday! The family got together for lunch and enjoyed a gorgeous day.❤️ Here's my mother with her birthday flowers ➜➜➜➜➜➜

I'm trying not to take my mom's longevity for granted, but her mother lasted until 96, so I'm crossing my fingers that she can outdo grandma! We're doing all we can to help the cause in the meantime. ❤️

My weight loss progress? Uneven at best. Sadly, I made no progress this week. Not surprising since I spent time at my mother's house which is like food paradise with all the temptations! Lol! 😘💜

EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT #2

Nash

I’m definitely going to hell. Either for going out of my way to push Kali’s buttons. Or for wanting to really push her buttons—and I don’t mean the metaphorical ones.

As Charline takes the brownies from the oven, I reach for one of them and she slaps my hand away. The second assault by a female in this place in one day. Maybe I ought to reconsider staying. But as I glance at Kali, I know I’m staying. I’m a perverse fucker.

“Guess being a so-called fine man doesn’t get me a brownie hot from the oven,” I quip.

“No more or you’ll spoil your dinner,” Charline says. “It’ll be ready soon. Why don’t you two freshen up and I’ll ring the dinner bell in your rooms when it’s ready.”

I’m not the kind of guy who freshens up before dinner, but it seems like it would be rude to mention that to the old gal. Something about her gets to me. Maybe she reminds me of my old aunt who’s gone now. Maybe I’m a glutton for cookies and she’s the fairy godmother of cookie baking.

Any theoretical protest shuts down when Kali hangs up her apron and leaves, but not before giving me a sassy smile over her shoulder. I almost do a double-take because I could swear on my horny dick that there was some actual friendliness hidden beneath her sass.

***

Imagine my surprise when I go down for dinner, ready to face Kali—to do battle, to win her over or to defeat her—I’m not sure which, and there’s a another man seated at the table.

I stop on the threshold to look him over as Mrs. Pike comes into the dining room from the kitchen wheeling a cart of food. The man jumps to his feet and offers assistance.

“No, you sit down and enjoy your dinner, Mr. Oliver,” she says, darting a glance my way, and I know she's up to something...

from The Big Puck

imageSpence

Barely resisting slamming my door with pent-up frustration—from the loss and from unspent lust—I collapse onto my bed.

My phone tweaks, and I slip it from my pocket. Yet another social media alert. I’m about to shut the thing down when my thumb hits the photo icon and scrolls the pictures, one after another of Krissy. And Lainey. My thumb—about to join my dick in the contest of stupid body parts—stops short at a pic of Lainey—the one of her in that strapless red dress. The dress that shows off her creamy cleavage and her wide red lips that shout fuck me to my starved dick.

I let out a groan. And then, rising from the bed, I head for the shower in my en suite to do something I haven’t done since I was a goddamn teenager.

Lainey’s red lips smiling flash vividly behind my lids as I imagine them wrapped around my dick. Water sprays my body with lukewarm droplets that slide in rivulets down my abdomen as I grip the base of my...

Coming later in 2023...

“With a name like Chase, I should have known you’d catch up with me,” she says.

Sporting a wry smile, she pretends to be all casually cynical. I would have believed her act if it hadn’t been for that one night. There was nothing casual about it, or her.

That night was certifiably special, everything about it, from start to finish.

Only problem is I’m dying to re-live the night. And she’s not.

Chase Whittier, just up from the minors to join the NHL's new Portsmouth Whalers, is riding high and out to celebrate in Boston after their win against the Brawlers.

In a departure from his usual behavior, he takes a woman home for a one night stand.

Except this woman and this night are not what he expects from a one-night-stand. He connects with her on a level he’s never experienced before. This can’t be normal.

But when she disappears before the morning, he's more than disappointed because he didn't get her number--or her last name. And though he doesn’t expect to ever see her again, she stays on his mind.

Until two weeks later when he goes to his grandma’s in Boston for Christmas and finds her there.

She's his grandma's caretaker. And not happy to see him. At all.

Sabien

What does a billionaire hockey player and a clueless dog walker have in common?

Besides my dog, we both enjoyed spending one hot night burning up the sheets.

And we both needed something desperately enough to strike a deal.

Possibly the stupidest deal ever imagined according to my lawyer, but once it's done, we're in bed together--literally--for the duration of the season.

The one rule is that we agree to part ways cleanly at the end of the contract. No contact allowed.

No matter what...

Body Check - Teagan Hunter

imageI have two goals this season:

1. Be named captain of the Seattle Serpents.

2. Stay single.

I’m right on track…until she happens.

Auden Sinclair.

We’re stuck together for a night when our plane is forced to make an emergency landing, and that’s all the promise we make—one night, then we go our separate ways.

Except she pops up again.

Then again.

Suddenly, she’s everywhere. In my head and in my bed, completely taking over my life and ruining all my plans with her quippy comebacks, her smarts, and a body that fits against mine just perfectly.

The problem? Auden is off limits. Forbidden. Strictly in the DO NOT TOUCH zone. She goes against all the rules, but never have I wanted to bend them as badly as I do when it comes to her.

This might be one battle I’m not going to win…

The Problem With Perfect - Jillian Liota

imageBellamy Mitchell is a meticulous planner. When her old flame returns to Cedar Point engaged, blowing apart her vision for the future, she claims to have a serious boyfriend. The problem? The first single guy she can think of is her brother’s much older, closed-off best friend.

Rusty Fuller likes to keep people at a distance. He’s been through enough to know that letting anyone too close is a mistake, unless it’s only for a little fun. What he definitely doesn’t need is his best friend’s little sister turning him into anyone’s boyfriend, especially her own.

For some reason, helping Bellamy is a challenge Rusty can’t refuse, and he develops a reluctant soft spot for the woman beloved by everyone in town. She’s too young, too innocent, but also too hard to resist. So he promises himself this fake dating gig is just that: fake.

When Rusty and Bellamy find more in each other than either of them expected, they’re faced with a difficult question. Is what they share too flawed to be real? Or did they stumble upon their own kind of perfect?

MAINTENANCE & MANAGEENT - Indie Sparks

imageShe’s the new property manager. He’s the new maintenance supervisor.

They rub each other the wrong way—until they start to rub each other the right way. So. Very. Right.

Landry:

I’ve got news for this guy: I may be smaller than him but I’m not intimidated by him. Maybe he’s intimidated by me. A lot of men can’t handle having a woman for a boss, let alone a younger woman. That’s his problem, not mine. I was hired to do a job and I intend to do it—just as soon as I can peel my eyes off his wide chest and those artistically tatted, exquisitely muscled arms. His hands . . . they’re so big. All of him is big. And tall. And grumpy. And gorgeous. I’m fine. Everything’s fine.

Vaughn:

There is no way she’s old enough to be the manager. Not a chance she’s had enough work experience to handle this job. Or even enough life experience! She’s definitely pretty, but she’s got an attitude—thinks she’s bigger than she is, that’s for sure. But she went from fiery to frightened quick when she saw that snake. And she came straight to me for protection. She’s too young for me to be thinking the thoughts in my head about her. Entirely. Too. Young. And technically, my boss.

Guess it's back to school time! And back to serious business now that summer and summer vacations are over for most of us. I hope you still find time to relax, read, listen to books or whatever you enjoy most.

In the meantime, feel free to drop me a line any time to talk sports--especially football--or romance books--or both.

I'd love to know what you thought of my second excerpt from The Do-Over Girl. Drop a line and let me now if you have a chance. 💜
