You'll love Lainey Hall
💜💜💜💜💜💜
Hello my romance reading friends,
Lainey Hall is the heroine in The Big Puck and I've been having fun with her. She's an eternal optimist made of sass and smiles and so sunshiney I have to wear sunglasses while I'm writing! You can get a glimpse of her in the character highlight.

We had a lively 4th of July week 🥳 For all my U.S. friends, hope your 4th was fun and safe! We watched a firework display out back over the lake. ➜➜➜➜
It wasn't as big a show as in the past, I think because of the stormy weather all week. We got the we got the paddle boards out and ready to go as soon as the weather--and the boat traffic--clears.
In the meantime, we have the ac cranked to beat the heat and lucky for my younger son he's is still up from D.C. because it's worse there. We got to meet his girlfriend! She's lovely--sweet and smart with the right amount of sass! 😘
How's your scorching 🔥 summer going?

from He Has a Baby
Rafe
“Paper? They still have newspapers?” I tease.
She sticks her tongue out at me, no doubt thinking it an innocent light-hearted gesture. It’s anything but. I swing Lizette away from her and plant myself at the other end of the kitchen island. “I’d love a drink, but I need a nap.”
“In that case, I’ll get your slippers.”
“You’re pretty funny for a supermodel.”
“You’re pretty relaxed for a guy with a boner.” She arches a brow and stares pointedly in the direction of my cock even though it’s now hidden from her view. Which makes said cock all the more excited and twitchy. But it’s too late to pretend I’m not attracted.
“Lucky guess,” I mutter. “Don’t worry. He’s under control.” She nods with a half-smile and I could swear she’s disappointed. But the last thing I want is for our easy truce in our battle against sexual attraction to come to an end.
“Don’t worry. I’m under control.” She walks away in a hurry as if she just told a big fat lie and fuck if that doesn’t make my cock swell even more in my pants, making me dizzy with need. But when she grabs her coat and bag and heads for the back door, my boner deflates like a balloon shot with a cannon.

Lainey:
If you're looking for my stats, look somewhere else. This intro is all about getting to know the essence of me. Essentially, I'm Pollyanna reincarnated, which is possible since we're both fictional characters.
Except I'm a "new adult" and hip.
How can an incorrigible optimist be hip, you ask? How can someone who's relentlessly positive and sunny and all about bringing the positive energy have a hip bone (pun intended) in her body?
Well, I'll tell you. It's my sass. Learned from my two brothers who play hockey.
I know you're thinking I must have lived a story book life to be so sunny, being from a wealthy prominent family, a cheerleader, engaged to my long-time sweetheart and the town's heart throb, and you'd be right.
Except for the fact that I lost my mom when I was twelve and the reason I'm seasoned with sass is because I was lugged with my brothers to hockey practice and games all my life and I've seen the inside of more than one locker room once I took over for my mom.
As for being engaged to the town heart-throb?
After an incident at our gigantic engagement party I went to his place to talk to him about it. I found him being consoled by one of my high school cheerleader friends who always had a big mouth—big enough to take Moe in all the way and suck his dick down her throat.
I may have ripped her by the pony tail off him and taken his balls in my hands and squeezed hard enough to make him scream like a little girl—even louder and a few octaves higher than Ms. Ra-ra.
Then I tore off my ring and threw it at him and after it bounced off his forehead—I’d been aiming for his wide-open mouth but I’ve never been the athlete of the family—making up for my lousy aim in spunk, I picked up the ring and took it with me.
I slammed his door shut behind me and never spoke to him again. Or to my so-called ra-ra friend. Though I don’t completely blame her because I know she’s easily mislead by men—not the first time that happened to her, poor girl, bless her stupid heart.
That's what I mean by sass. My positive spin on the entire circus?
It freed me from my small town and I escaped with my big brother Jason up north to spend the hockey season with him on his new team, the Portsmouth, NH Whalers. Yay!
A new adventure awaits where I get to cheer up a broody hot coach and care for his adorable adopted baby...

So when she disappears before the morning, he's more than disappointed because he didn't get her number--or her last name. And though he doesn’t expect to ever see her again, she stays on his mind.
Until two weeks later when he goes to his grandma’s in Boston for Christmas and finds her there.
She's his grandma's caretaker.
Was it more than a coincidence that they met that night in Boston? Did she know he was her employer's grandson?
With so many unanswered questions, he doesn't trust his attraction to the mystery girl--no matter how much his d*ck disagrees.

On the Dotted Line - Lauren Brown

The day I've been waiting for is finally here. In a few short hours, the board will announce the candidates with a chance at being promoted to partner. My mentor has promised me I'm on the shortlist to fill one of the three spots and become the youngest partner in the law firm's history. I'm not worried about the competition. At least until the announcement is made and the rules are changed. Now I'm fighting to win a single spot, and only one associate has the skills to beat me. Brandon Stick-up-his-ass Roberts.
Brandon Roberts
Anyone else would be nervous heading into work today, but I'm not just anyone. There's no question I'll be promoted to partner this year, and today's announcement is just the first step. But my perfectly mapped-out plan is thrown out the window when I find out there will only be one new partner this year. I won’t let my reaction to the news crack my well-honed corporate exterior. Inside, however, I'm prepping for a fight with the human tornado with the desk across from mine. If she's somehow gotten it in her head that she can beat me, Lawyer Barbie better prepare to be disappointed.
On the Dotted Line is the prequel to the Suddenly Us series of interconnected standalones. Each book can be read independently, but the series is best read in order to understand each character's full story.
