The perfect loser

Folks,
I heard the term “perfect loser” this week, and I couldn’t help but sit with it for a bit - it’s so good!
What do you lose when you try to look perfect?
What do you need to not be perfect?
It goes on and on.
The perfect loser is my personal battle in coaching. I know better, I can do better, yet it’s so tempting to be that perfect loser - put on that “killer” session, not the messy one that asks more of you.
Quietly persisting with a skill, on our own, is one thing; working in public is quite another. That is, of course, unless you are in a group that gets it.
Which is why I’m delighted to tell you I have a series of events coming up on Luma; one of which is about my favourite 5-minute video on courage, curiosity, and collaboration. With more events to be confirmed, the first one is with Kelvin Giles and his Can, Can, Can’t, Can framework.
Let me leave you with this idea. I love it. Art of PingPong is making art more playful—courage, curiosity, and collaboration are powerful antidotes for the perfect loser.
