👋🏽¿¡Que pasa, !?
This week’s got a little bit of everything: an unexpected squirrel rescue, a movement that proves Latinos run the economy, and a hilarious Latina comedian keeping it real. Plus, we’re celebrating Women’s Day by honoring the stories of the powerful mujeres who inspire us. Let’s get into this week's...

PICTURE: 📸
This wild rodent... er, baby squirrel burrowing into your heart:
I took a picture of Peanut the tiny squirrel that fell into my life this week. The baby was disoriented and hungry. I quickly learned how to care for a squirrel (thanks internet) and he in turn became very trusting and curious. The plan is to release him this weekend; FREEDOM, it's the fair and just thing to do :-/
OPTIMISM: 💖
A quote from one of my faves
"If you have a voice, use it. If you have the feet, stand up. If you have the legs, run. If you have the will, move."
— Dolores Huerta
COOL FIND: 🕵🏽♂️
The Freeze Latino Movement & Where to Spend Your Money 💰✊
Latinos are flexing their economic power with the Freeze Latino Movement, a boycott targeting brands that support anti-immigrant policies while uplifting companies that stand with our comunidad. Some big names—like Costco, Trader Joe’s, and E.L.F. Beauty—are doubling down on inclusion, while others (looking at you, Coca-Cola) are scrambling to win back Latino consumers. It’s a reminder that where we spend our money matters. Check out the full list of brands and let me know—does this movement change where you shop?
HOMEWORK: 📝
Storytelling for Change 🎤✍️ Pick a woman—historical or personal—whose story inspires you and share her impact with a friend, family member, or on social media. Whether it's a quick text to your primas or a full post about her achievements, keeping her story alive is a powerful way to honor Women’s Day.
OTHER STUFF: 📢
Gina Brillon Bringing the Bilingual Laughs 🎤😂
If you don’t know Gina Brillon yet, it’s time to fix that! This hilarious Latina comedian keeps the laughs coming with sharp, relatable takes on life, culture, and yes—trauma (because if you can’t joke about it, are you even healing?). She’s proof that women’s voices belong everywhere, especially in comedy.
Check out her latest clip about trauma on IG and tell me—did she just call out all of us? 😆🔥
Thanks for hanging out, Pocho familia! Whether you’re sharing a story, making mindful shopping choices, or just laughing through the chaos, keep using your voice. As always, hit reply if you’ve got cool finds, thoughts, or just wanna say hola. See you next week!
Saluditos,
