PICTURE: πΈ
I could have sworn I saw an ambulance but I was wrong...
I took a picture of this genius event catering service in Mexico City. Sometimes my pix are photography and other times a snap of the world around me; a world where taco consumption IS an emergency and everything is art.
OPTIMISM: π
A girl-powered though on equality for you ma'dear:
βI love relaying that message to girls that its OK to be ambitious and set your sights high, because thatβs what girls are interested in. Women are doers. They are equals.β β America Ferrara

One of my favorite San Diego Summer things to do is back! Summer Movies At The Park kicked off last weekend and have a full lineup of family-friendly flicks scheduled to play in neighborhood parks throughout San Diego. I'm putting Elemental (2023) in National City on my wishlist. Here is the full SMATP calendar for you to download for reference, you're welcome.
HOMEWORK: π
Family Mental Health Check-In: Schedule regular family check-ins where everyone has the opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive environment. You can also encourage family members to express their emotions, experiences, and cultural influences through writing or drawing. Discuss strategies for coping with stress, practicing self-care, and seeking help when needed. π¬β€οΈ
As #MentalHealthAwareness month officially ends, I vow to keep bringing you resources and positivity via this email. tqm.
OTHER STUFF: π’
I've been silently collaborating with TuYo Theatre on their latest production; PΓ‘sale PΓ‘sale, inspired by our very own South Bay community. The show runs through June, plays in Chula Vista and National City, and takes viewers on a musical journey set at the heart of the Swap Meet while celebrating resilience and unity amidst the vibrant hustle of daily life.
I was fortunate enough to handle public relations for the show, and I am inviting you to support local Latinx theatre in our community. As an incentive and generous gift from TuYo, use promo code POCHO to get $20 off general admission tickets for any show today through June 30th. If you're not in town or able to attend please consider giving them a follow on IG @tuyotheatre or facebook.com/tuyotheatre to stay up to date with what they are working on.
As always THANK YOU for opening these emails, I am truly grateful. I hope you enjoyed today's POCHO Stuff Email. Have a fantastic weekend, and see you next week!
With gratitude,
