Spring is springing! Even though spring doesn't officially start for a few more weeks and time changes next week, nature is naturing on our balcony. Check out these sunflowers:
My husband has quite a green thumb, we currently have sunflowers budding, tomatoes sprouting, green onions, basil, and many other house plants --so, I took a picture for you.
OPTIMISM: π
A Women's History Month quote to empower us all:
βAs women achieve power, the barriers will fall. As society sees what women can do, as women see what women can do, there will be more women out there doing things, and weβll all be better off for it.β

COOL FIND: π΅π½ββοΈ
On Sunday we kick off SD Restaurant Week, it's your chance to try new spots around town at a fixed price. I'm sharing this as a cool find because it feels like SDRW comes and goes without giving me a warning. ha. So here is your heads up! Check out the full list of participating restaurants and plan your dining experience today. What I've found the most helpful in the past, was to dig into the SDRW website and check out wich restaurants offer a deal when compared to their normal pricing, or those that offer a tasting menu that allows you to try small portions of their specialties in an attempt to lure you back. Good luck!

Bilingual Storytelling: Create a storytelling night where family members take turns telling stories from their Mexican or American heritage. Encourage kids to participate and pass down family tales! ππ
OTHER STUFF: π’
This week, I'm thrilled to introduce a segment dedicated to enriching your work and personal life. Today I'm using this space to tell you about a new helpful concept that will occasionally appear in the POCHO Stuff email. I'm calling it BTW, the Bonus Tip of the Week (I know, right?). I often reach out to people much smarter than me for advice, tips, tricks, life hacks, and more. So it occurred to me that I should be doing this more intentionally and then spreading the knowledge! Below I present the first-ever Bonus Tip of the Week.

Unlocking Productivity: A New Perspectiveπ
The first two months of the year have been all about productivity and good habits for me. I reached out to the pros and asked "how do you stay productive?" Here is what a few of them had to say:
π― Redefining Priorities: The Value Perspective
My dad, Jose Uribe a Boeing Engineer shares a compelling strategy that shifts the focus from "priority" to "value." This nuanced change encourages us not only to tackle tasks in order of importance but to also engage with the most valuable tasks at any given moment. By viewing our tasks through the lens of value, we ensure that our efforts are meaningfully invested, steering clear of the trap of low-hanging fruit. This insight invites us to question, "What task holds the greatest value right now?"
β³ Mastering Time: The Art of Time Blocking
My friend Maggie Mariscal, Director of Consumer Insights Chosen Foods, offers a practical solution to the common pitfall of getting bogged down by immediate tasksβtime blocking. This method ensures dedicated slots for both short-term and long-term projects, fostering a balanced approach to our workload. Maggie emphasizes the importance of a prioritized to-do list and an organized digital workspace, from emails to documents. Her strategy is a testament to the power of structured time management in boosting productivity.
π Building Consistency: The Power of Atomic Habits
Futurist and goof friend of mine Jed Sundwall, Executive Director at Radiant Earth, champions the philosophy of atomic habits, underscoring the significance of small, consistent actions in achieving grand outcomes. By committing to daily practices, whether it's exercising, reading, or journaling, we lay the bricks for monumental achievements. Jed's approach is a reminder that progress, no matter how incremental, is still progress. It's a call to embrace consistency, especially when navigating complex tasks where progress seems elusive.
π My POCHO Takeaway:
Productivity is not just about doing more, but about creating more value with your time. Embrace the methods that resonate with you and watch your productivity soar. I hope you enjoyed the inaugural BTW!
As always THANK YOU for opening these emails and making it all the way through, I am truly grateful. I hope you enjoyed today's POCHO Stuff email see you next week!
With gratitude,
