Hello ,
The first thing I want to say is that seeing is more than sight or what your eyes show you.
Likewise, the truth is more than your present reality or what you know.
Many times, we are too busy seeing our current situation or state that we forget that there is a greater truth than what we’re currently seeing. We forget that there is a greater sight than the current place we are at.
Even with yourself, do you know there is a greater truth about you than what you can see?
Never be so caught up seeing your ‘faults’, ‘limitations’ or whatever it is lying to you that you neglect the truth.
The greatest truth is that you are a light, shining bright and capable of so much more than you can imagine or currently see.
It may be hard to see that truth because of current reality but fight to see it and never get blinded by ‘reality’.
Know that you are worth it and you are worthy!
Personal Story - If you have been following my letters for a while, you must know by now that I’m an Author based in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. A few weeks ago, I was nominated for the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility Award By The Wonderful Town of Oakville, Canada.
As one who just moved to Canada from Africa a few years ago, it was already a great honour to be among those nominated. I felt truly grateful to even be nominated for the impact of my books and myself as an Author.
However, I battled thoughts that I won’t win the award. I couldn’t easily see that I might win it. It was so bad that I didn’t even go with anyone. Imagine my shock when my name was called, the shock was so great, my phone slipped out of my hand and I had to struggle to gain composure as I took the stage to accept the award.
I give all glory to God and I say, I’m happy to see that even though I didn’t want to see the truth - my work is valid, valued and I am winning.
So, what I’m saying is, don’t quit seeing the truth. Where you want to go and not where you currently are. You will make it there!
