{{contact.first_name}}, Remember Who You Are

No one else can validate you. Your worth starts with what you believe about yourself.

Hello ,

Remember who you are.

Let me say that again - you have to remember who you are.

This past week, I had the most amazing experience — spending time in New York at the United Nations General Assembly Week Event. It was such an honor to be part of a special event, to meet some incredible people, and to soak in the atmosphere of conversations that truly matter.

But something happened that changed the entire week for me.

After everything had gone well — meetings, events, security checks at the airport — I was ready to head back home. Then suddenly, I couldn’t find my passport. Not before security, but after I’d already gone through. In that moment, panic set in.

Who am I? How do I prove I am who I say I am?

It was scary. I started wondering what would happen next, how I would get home, and honestly, how I had even gotten there in the first place. And right there, in the middle of an international airport, the bigger question hit me: Am I waiting for someone else to validate who I am?

So many of us do exactly that by walking through life waiting for people’s approval before we believe in ourselves. But the truth is no one else can tell you who you are. No one else can validate you. That comes from within, and ultimately, from God.

Of course, I eventually found my passport (thankfully!).

But the experience reminded me of something that had been in my heart all week even while getting dressed for the conference. The question of Do I deserve to be here? Have I earned my place in this room?

The answer I had to give myself was this - “Yes, I am who I am. Yes, I’ve earned it. And yes, I belong here.”

My friend, you need to remember who you are too. Not because of what people say, not because of validations, but because you are a child of God and the greatest version of yourself.

This week, I want you to carry this truth with you.

Walk boldly. Stand confidently. Don’t let anyone step over you. Don’t let fear or doubt define you.

Remember who you are.

Have a fantastic week ahead, and God bless you.

Take care,

Olamidotun.

P.S.: Feel free to forward this to someone who needs a little reminder and encouragement.

Affirmation for the week

image

“I know who I am, and I walk

confidently in that truth.

My worth is not defined by

others but by who God says I am.

I belong in every room I step

into because I’ve worked hard

and earned my place.

I release the need for external

validation — I validate myself daily.

I carry peace, purpose,

and clarity wherever I go.

I am the greatest version of myself,

becoming stronger each day.”

Word Of The Week

📖 Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
