Hello ,
Have you ever been through something and in retrospect, looking back you wish you could do it all over again because your attitude would have been different?
Have you ever had a circumstance or had an experience that you thought to yourself, “Perhaps if I had a second chance, I’ll have done better…”
We all desire second chances. Second chance at schools, exams, tests… we all desire do-overs for one reason or the other.
In January, a particular country we all know is going to be welcoming someone who will be getting a second chance at a position - arguably thought of as the highest in the world.
I’m not trying to say I’m a fan of the person but this person is getting a rare second chance at a position that most people, no matter how they want to look back, don’t get a second chance.
That’s the story but not the focus of my letter.
The focus for me today is about opportunities, do overs and second chances.
Not everybody gets second chances.
We all get the opportunity to show up now.
Right now.
What are you doing about your now?
Are you making most of the opportunities you have now?
Do you know all you need in your now?
Opportunity is the one thing that is guaranteed even when we don’t all get second chances.
It can be the opportunity to be present for your family, for your children or for the job you prayed so hard for.
We all get opportunities and rather than wish for the opportunity to have a do-over, my challenge for you this week is - To live in the present, give it your all and make use of every opportunity you’ve been given.
I believe in you. I believe now is the best opportunity I have.
As you go out this week, tell yourself - “I’m going to make every day count. I’m going to make every second in 2025 count. I’m not going to wish for do-overs, I’ll use my now and make the most of it.”
