Hello ,
As I get older, I’m realizing more and more that I cannot control the outcome and the only thing I truly can control is myself—my input, my response, and my attitude while I wait.
I’ll be honest, this hasn’t been just a passing thought. For the last couple of weeks, it’s been on my heart to share as a newsletter.
I’ve noticed how often we put in the hours, throw in every ounce of effort, and still wait… and wait.
Sometimes results come quickly, but often, they don’t. Sometimes outcomes drag on for months or even years, and in the process, many of us feel like giving up.
However, here’s what I’m learning: if I cannot control the outcome or the timeline of the outcome, then what I can do is control my input and how I carry myself through it.
I can decide to keep giving my best. I can choose faith over frustration. I can choose joy while I wait. I can choose to be patient and trust God.
Life is always going to throw things at us like busy days, overwhelming seasons, unexpected challenges. But through it all, we must remember: Don’t give up. Don’t throw in the towel.
The truth is, what really happens at the end of the day is out of our hands. And all of us need to accept that the outcome ultimately belongs to God.
The Bible reminds us that “The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, but time and chance happen to them all.”. That time and chance is the mercy and hand of God at work.
And that’s where our trust belongs.
So for this last quarter of 2025, I want you to carry this encouragement - You cannot control the outcome, but you can trust the One who does. Stay consistent.
Be patient. Trust God. Keep sowing. Keep believing. It will all work together for your good.
No matter how much effort we put in, no matter how many hours we invest, but we can control our input, our response, and our mindset while we wait.
Instead of throwing in the towel when results take longer than expected, we can choose to stay consistent, keep the faith, and trust God’s timing.
Therefore, patience is the key word when we can not control the outcome.
This week, I want you to carry this truth: You may not control the outcome, but you can trust the God who does.
