{{contact.first_name}}, Who’s in Your Corner?

Who’s really in your corner? The answer might surprise you.

Hello ,

Who is in your corner?

Don’t rush to answer. Pause and really think about it.

Many of us are quick to say, “I have this one friend or this one relationship I can always rely on.” And that’s beautiful. But here’s what I’ve been learning: for every different aspect of life — your career, your spiritual walk, your business, your health, even your relationships — you often need different people in your corner.

Yes, we all need those solid, all-rounder friendships. But sometimes you need someone specific: a person who will cheer you on in your health goals, another who inspires you in your faith, another who sharpens your mind in your work. Because the truth is, we grow best in circles. We thrive in community.

Let me share my story. For two years I pushed toward my health goals on my own. I was consistent but sometimes discouraged. Then, last November, I met a few women who casually encouraged me. Together we decided to start a small, informal group to check in and hold each other accountable. What began with three of us quickly grew into ten women encouraging one another every single day.

Nine months later, that group has become one of my greatest blessings. We laugh together, share our challenges, celebrate our wins, and cheer one another on.

This past weekend, I met with almost all the ladies in that group. And let me tell you, it was the most wholesome time I've had in a long time. We laughed—laughed so hard—talked about our health challenges, talked about health goals, and how we just need to keep inspiring each other.

We initially came together for health goals, but what we built has spilled into every area of life. What I thought I was giving to them, they were actually giving back to me. We all needed each other to thrive.

And that’s the point: in every season and every area of life, we need people in our corner. The cheerleaders. The accountability partners. The voices that tell us keep going, don’t give up. Relationships like these aren’t about just taking — they’re about bringing value, encouragement, and accountability to one another.

So let me ask you again: who is in your corner?

Who claps when you win? Who checks in when you’re tired? Who speaks truth when you’re distracted? And equally, who are you cheering on and pouring into?

Because the Bible reminds us:

”Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor. If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up… A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”* — Ecclesiastes 4:9–12

This week, I encourage you to reflect and pray for those special relationships.

Ask God to send you the right people for the right seasons — and be ready to be that person for someone else. Don’t go through life alone.

Don’t run your race in isolation. You were created to thrive in community.

Have a wonderful week and God bless you.

Take care,

Olamidotun.

P.S.: Feel free to forward this to someone who needs a little reminder and encouragement.
