Hello everyone! (Und guten Tag, meine Freunde)

Today is an exciting day, because I’m adding the international tag to my author list. My space opera trilogy is being translated into German, and book 1, Das Signal aus dem All, goes live 5/20/2022, with others soon to follow in the Dieser Feinen Crew series!

Even though my books are traveling across the Atlantic, I spent most of the last month at home, settling into the new place, which has been a lovely and much needed change. Not gonna lie, having 7 weekends of author events over two months was a bit too much for me.

I did give myself some down time. In particular, to celebrate Star Wars Day(s)—there is so much content, there should be more than one day—I busted out my old Decipher Star Wars CCG cards and built a light side and dark side pair of decks for every major battle in the original trilogy. While putting together decks, I watched some shows, including the animated Star Wars Clone Wars. I also started watching Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and I am so into it! Exploration-based space opera that leaves me intrigued and hopeful? That’s my favorite kind. In fact, that’s what I hope people get out of THIS FINE CREW, wherever they may read it and in whatever language.

I’m also learning the Richmond area, beyond just the convention scene, by going on hikes, looking for board game groups, and checking out karaoke spots. And—of course—catching up on many writing projects, including the next installment of THIS FINE CREW…

THIS FINE CREW Continues

Episode 4, The Impossible Moon, starts months after the events of Seed in the Sky, with the crew of the Interstellar Initiative Starship Endeavor traveling to the Tsanghar cluster and a bizarre moon whose inhabitants might hold the key to universal communication. The Impossible Moon is a fast-moving exploration adventure with more mistranslations, hidden motives, and so much alien mutation that for about half of the book, my working title was The Island of Doctor Jerome.

We do not yet have a release date or cover, but I can say that Episode 4 will continue the story of the main characters in the first three books, but it can also be a good starting place for those who haven’t read the previous trilogy. If you have read the short prequel, A Roach by any Other Name, about the Human species’ first contact with aliens that become their strongest allies in the series, you’ll see some familiar faces.

A gripping and chilling march through hell for those who want to read something like Dark Crystal directed by Sam Raimi.
