Hey Strawberry fans,
This month has been huge! Not only did I send my homeschooled 11-year-old to part-time school for the first time ever, but I also signed two more books into contract! Strawberry Shifters Book 3: Go Scorch Yourself ended on a cliffhanger with the disappearance of Ryan the Former Vampire King. I’m happy to announce that his book, Rotten Apple, is in contract with The Wild Rose Press. You didn’t think he would disappear without telling his side of the story, did you? He throws Gran under the bus when he discovers her connection to the Sluagh, and I can hardly keep the secret until early 2023!
Patricia’s Wish is moving too. Quartermaster, Chub’s love story, has sailed to the editor. Look for our motley crew of hearties in the spring of 2023 as part of the Mortar & Pestle series. Until then, sail the high seas with these pirate, mermaid, and sea creature romances!
However, I said I signed TWO contracts…Ava Wylder’s big sister Abigail’s book is in contract too. Hush Little Wylder will be released in early 2023 as well. Which will release first—Rotten Apple or Hush Little Wylder—it’s a race!
In the meantime, Ava Wylder’s book—okay, Ikshu Sagebrush’s book, Sound of a Wylder Silence, comes out on 10/12/2022. Want a sneak peek? There are early release chapters in the member’s area of my website (password = Rafaella) just for you. Like what you see? I’m looking for ARC readers. What’s that? I give you a free copy of the book in exchange for reviews on popular websites such as Bookbub, Goodreads, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble.
Reply to this email saying, “I want to be an ARC reader” and you will get a free advanced eCopy of Sound of a Wylder Silence to read/review AND you will be entered into a contest for a free set of paperbacks signed by me! (USA readers only) You can choose the 4 Strawberry books (includes Smoother Than Spumoni), 3 Walk the Walk pirate romances, or 3 Wylder books (this includes Hush Little Wylder). Contest is exclusive to reviewers from this mailing list, and the winner will be selected by a random number generator. The winner will be announced in the November newsletter. Thank you for being a resident of Strawberry with me.
Follower contest! Win an Amazon gift card by following me on TikTok or following other authors in this giveaway. Winner will be announced by author Alicia Dean.
This month on my Instagram feed is “New Book, Who Diz?” I’ll be reviewing the hottest advanced reader copies from historical fiction, mystery, fantasy, and of course, TONS of romance! Do you follow me at https://www.instagram.com/marilyn_barr_author/ ? Then you will see all my reviews! Here’re two new books to whet your appetite –
Thank you so much for hanging out with me on the dog days of summer. We are so busy with back-to-school stuff that I hope you take time to escape between the pages of a book. Whether you slay dragons or slay your new outfit, I wish you the best this season. While I hustle to being Hush Little Wylder and Rotten Apple to your shelves, I’m delving into a new genre…. Monster Romance. I have a new erotic novella and a 6-book series in the works. While the heat level will be scorching hot, the monsters will be ice cold (yes, that’s a hint because I’m rubbish at keeping secrets. Remember?)
Blessed Be and Let Magic Find You!
