Hey ,
As promised, it's planner month! I love a great planner, and picking one out for the upcoming year gives me a sense of momentum heading into 2022. I have some wonderful choices for every budget and personality. They make great gifts too.
The releases are getting closer - I swear! I know you've heard it before but we're already into November and I have six titles back from editing!
The new, revised and frankly, must better versions of Bewildered and Bedazzled are both complete and headed to proofreading. I will finish Beholden in only a few more days, and the prequel and first novel in the Crazy Eights books are in similar shape. That means lots of revised and new books coming your way after the first of the year. I promise!
Watch for Crazy Eights title and cover reveals soon too.
SAVE ME is a new promotion of billionaire, steamy, new adult and contemporary romance novels on sale now. Find a new author you love, and a new book boyfriend or two. Runs through December 6th.
Make it Right hits the same contemporary, new adult, steamy or billionaire romance categories, but these books are all free during this promotion. Also runs through December 6th.
As promised, it’s planner time!
I have selected several planners to share with you. Like handbags, planners feel very personal to me, and I am picky. Is it roomy enough? Are there enough pockets? Can I find my phone and keys easily? You know what I mean.
Is there room for notes? Pockets for loose papers and cards? Do I love the cover? Is it solid, so that it will hold up all year? I took all that and more inttto account.
And like purses, there are hundreds to choose from. But I whittled the crowd down to some of my favorites. I will even admit to you which planner I chose for myself and why.
Also, I freely admit, I am an affiliate for a few of these, but how can I resist when I am such a planner junky?? As always, I never recommend something I don’t believe in and you never pay a penny more affiliate or not.
The Day Designer Flagship Planner has been my planner for the last four years and I honestly thought I would stick with it for life. It goes with me everywhere, holds all my plans, goals, notes, frankly everything I write or collect on paper for the entire year. It’s my desk in a box, so to speak.
Substantial and well made, this spiral bound planner will last all year and beyond. Pockets to hold invitations and bills to pay, monthly pages to see all at a glance and plenty of space to track each day. It is designed to keep you focused on your goals, and use your time wisely.
Available for a school year or calendar year.
The Flagship planner is not cheap at $59. A smaller version is available to save money. But I think love the larger size and find it’s worth the money. Besides, once you purchase a planner, Day Designer offers free printables and blog posts chock full of advice to assist you in achieving your goals and improving your productivity. I love their monthly download wallpaper too.
My one negative, not enough space/pages for taking notes. I end up with loose pieces of paper full of notes tucked into my planner. There is a pocket on the inside front cover, but it fills quickly.
I give the planner 4.5 Stars.
Erin Corden is very colorful and very popular for good reason. This female run business has been creating everything organization since 2005. In that time, they have figured out what people want, and what people need. Not specifically for writers, this planner is highly customizable and comes with a myriad of planning accessories as well.
Their Coiled Weekly Lifeplanner is their flagship product but check out their website for plenty more options. They even have planners for lefties! Again, not enough room for notes, IMHO, but the Lifeplanner offers a horizontal, verity or hourly layout and great pages for goal setting.
With four interior designs, three sizes and gorgeous covers to choose from you won’t mind stuffing notes in the pockets at the back of the planner. Prices vary but can run as much as $64.
Because of the complete system, I give these planners 4 stars.
I confess, this is the planner I will be using in 2022. Ruth Soukup’s Crushing it Bootcamp was the deciding factor for me, a five-day course on how to get the most of out of my new planner, and to set and meet goals.
The Living Well Planner® is the only planner I found designed to help you organize your schedule, take control of your finances, plan your meals, CRUSH your goals––all in the same place! Whether you are a working professional, a busy stay-at-home mom, a motivated college student, or even a small business owner, the Living Well Planner is designed to help you easily manage ALL of the pieces of your busy life (not just your schedule!).
It also encourages work-life balance. For real. Each month begins with pages to set goals for every area of your life, from home to finances, to fun. I never thought about planning my fun and scheduling it before. There is a budget tracker and a—finally—place for notes! This is more of a weekly calendar than the Day Designer I used previously, and that may take some adjustment for me, but there is room to schedule time daily, and to set daily goals, so I think it will work.
This colorful planner is undated, use it as soon as you receive it, with goal setting and planning sheets for every month, weekly calendars and stickers to customize what day your start your week. It’s a beautiful planner, delivered in a box that would make it a gorgeous gift. The planner is $59 including the free Crushing It Bootcamp.
Despite the undated planner, I loved the Crushing It challenge and give this planner 4.5 stars.
This simple planner sends out chic and sophisticated vibes while also checking that eco-friendly box!. Ponderlily commits to sustainable practices in the production and packaging of their products.
Their planner is made with FSC recyclable paper, uses soy-based inks, and also features a cover that doesn’t require the use of harmful chemicals to create it). For packaging, they use recyclable mailers and biodegradable tape, and biodegradable packing peanuts instead of using bubble wrap!
And it's a terrific planner too, helping you intentionally set goals in areas such as wellness, relaxation, friends and family, and finances, great for work/life balance.
This requires shipping from the UK, which can add to its €35 price tag.
I give this planner 4 stars.
Eco Friendly 2022 2023 Planner
This planner actually has a mouthful of a name: Eco Friendly 2022, 2023 Planner, Classic Happy Planner Cover, Weekly Monthly , Planner 2022, Planner Cover, Daily Agenda 2022 but then it provides a lot of functions, so it needs a longer than average name.
At only $14.95, this planner is both eco-friendly, and a bargain. The company, BeatificHappyPlanner, plants a tree with every purchase in addition to creating a planner that thinks of your well-being as well as your goals. This planner covers goals, to-dos and budgets side by side with reminders for gratitide and self-rewarding, and tracking your water consumption and happiness.
If you want to plan for your relaxation and your accomplishments while saving the environment, and planting a tree (which gets me everytime), this planner gets 5 stars.
Happy reading, and happy planning,
P.S. Don't forget, I am on vacation for the next two weeks, so I'll be skipping my next email in two weeks. Everyone take care until we're back in touch, and if you subscribe to my Saturday newsletter, it will arrive as planned on November 20th. Discoving new reads can't wait.
