Hello, lovelies.

I am about to finish a book and I'm so excited I can hardly sit in my chair! Months, in this case years, of ideas, first drafts, character studies, second drafts, beta reads and finally editing are about to pay off. To be perfectly honest, this book, still titleless, goes to editing next week (and I go on vacation). So there will be one more round of rewrites, then proofing, then rewrites before it’s really done.

But it feels really close! Sometimes you need to celebrate the little successes :)

The book I am finishing is for an anthology that I am so thrilled about. All billionaire novels, and sexy ones at that. It won’t be available until November, but watch for the cover reveal May 1^st and teasers galore after that. I’ll share more as time gets closer and closer…

In the meantime, Crazy to Dream is close to finished and Way Past Crazy is being formatted for May launch. Way Past Crazy is Avery’s story. She is the shyest of the Crazy Eights, but when she finds a fellow cat lover feeding the same stray she is, she suddenly finds her voice—and a whole lot of love.

You’ll get to know Avery and her handsome engineer, Patrick, the park rescue committee, along with a few cats, an Irish family or two, and of course our Crazy Eights will have to meddle at least once. And there’s always Gabby’s audacious dare! Here’s a quick excerpt from the book:

I chaired an actual committee now, five determined souls who wanted to keep this park. We had two months to make it happen, and I lost sleep nights wondering how we could get the job done. Thankfully, the signatures were coming in. I had never talked to so many strangers in my life, all to rescue one cat. Or was it more about rescuing me?

“Who’s there?” A voice from my left shocked me out of self-reflection. The cat sprinted off into the bushes as a tall man came into view. He approached cautiously, one hand hidden behind his back. The late hour, the mysterious hand, and the deep voice immediately made me suspicious. Easily six feet or more, he was muscular. I should have been terrified, but his face was open, friendly even. He wore round glasses that made him seem professorial and illogically less threatening. Still, that hidden hand made me jumpy. I was out here alone, with nothing for defense but my car keys.

“What are you doing?” I shouted, trying to sound more menacing than I felt. I considered bolting, but his legs were twice as long as mine. Instead, I lifted my chin obstinately and stood my ground.

“What the hell are you doing?” he challenged, like he owned the damn park.

I admit, I got defensive. Who was he to question my right to be here? And I told him so. “Who are you to ask? I have as much right to be here as you do. I could question your motives, too. Why are you up to and what are you hiding?” I pointed to the hand he still hadn’t revealed. So much for fearing what was behind his back.

“You’re absolutely right,” he conceded, dropping his voice and bringing his hand forward to reveal a plastic bag full of… It couldn’t be. “I didn’t mean to frighten you.”

“Is that cat food?” I asked, astonished. Had I really feared a weapon? He didn’t look like the weapons type. In the low light haloing behind him, he looked handsome—very handsome.
