Anthologies Anyone?
Great Webinars this Week
A Summit Opportunity
Hey Authors,
Welcome to February. Is this as busy a month for you as it is for me?
Romance writers go crazy in February and I am no different. More releases, more promotions, more social media. Why do we do this in the shortest month of the year?? I need more hands and more time!
I have been hard at work on a short story/novella that I can use for a holiday themed Anthology, although I have no anthology in mind. Do you use group releases and boxed sets to help promote your novels?
I did one early in my career and it was a success for me. I met some fabulous authors who are friends now. We still help each other when we can. And I picked up scores of new readers.
Unfortunately, I didn’t love the organizer, which is why I don’t have a spot yet for my New Year’s themed story. Do you have someone you love working with?
Do you have your favorite go-to instructors? People you know won't waste your time? Bryan Cohen is one of those people for me, and this week he's talking email list building.
Thursday at 3pm EST he will offer a webinar on "Your First 500 email subscribers"
Included in the webinar:
How to set up a simple landing page that turns browsers into lifelong readers
- The step most authors miss with group promos and the value of a strong followup
- How to automatically grow your launch team to get more reviews on day one
Another go-to person for me is Brit Poe. Today only she has her Trello 4 Authors course on SALE!
She is retiring this comprehensive class for Trello users who happen to be authorpreneurs. She includes templates for EVERYTHING! I have been using a huge percentage of this class as my mechanism for storing ideas, daily and weekly planning and so much more. In keeping with my full disclosure policy, Brit prefers Notion now and that is why she is retiring her Trello class. I tried Notion but came back to Trello. If you feel like I did, grab this course while you still can.
Is there anything better than a masterclass of brilliant minds sharing the tricks and smarts to make us better writers? I can't think of much. Oh yeah, what about if it's free?
Traci Skuce is bringing her "Write your First or Next Book 2,0" back February 7-11 in a free online event with more than twenty world-class speakers. During the five-day summit, Traci. promises to discuss everything from how self-compassion is essential to your writing to creating a roadmap for your manuscript–to finding and managing time so you can actually write your book.

That's it for me. Happy writing,
