Hey there Insider,
Last night, high above the city of Chicago where nearly 20,000 people were marching for justice, I saw a pink moon. I have never seen a pink moon before, but it was a sight to see. It was full, golden-pink and hanging in the sky like a sign from above. While, I love nature, I admit I don’t regularly see omens from Heaven about me. But somehow, this week especially, it gave me a reason to hope for good things to come.
Hoping for good things, of course, is not how we make them happen – personally or collectively. It takes work, communication, the right tools and accurate information.
So today’s newsletter is about hope, tools, communication and information – about life, work and of course, romance. That’s because we are a team too, coming together to make good things happen and providing a little romance and beauty in a demanding world.
Let’s start with hope….
ON THE DOUBLE DARE FRONT
Dare to Hope is finally done! You’ve seen the cover, I have completed the blurb for Amazon and it is set to go out to ARC readers this week. Launch date is set for July 9th but Dare to Hope should be available for preorder a week or two before.
For the 6% of Madison Michael fans who prefer not to buy from Amazon I am trying something different. For the two weeks of preorder and two weeks after launch, Dare to Hope will be available for wide distribution – your chance to purchase Dare to Hope on Kobo, B&N or Apple Books. After that initial period, in order to make it available on Kindle Unlimited, I will move this first book in the Double Dare Romance Series to Amazon exclusively. This is a short window, so mark your calendars.
I have enjoyed rereading and completing the finals edits of Dare to Hope. I may be the author, and slightly biased, but honestly, I found it hard to put down! I think you’ll love this one.
HAPPENING NOW
ARC copies ready for distribution
On the Dare to Hope front, ARC copies are ready for delivery this week. Watch your mail if you signed up to be an advanced reader for this or prior books. I want to be sure you are still interested before I introduce you Jeremy and Eliana’slove story and the “Crazy Eights.” You’ll get to know the ‘crazies,’ well, as this group of friends forms the foundation for the entire Double Dare Romance series.
Want to learn more about them? I was planning to mini-blog about them on my Facebook Madison Michael VIP Readers page (follow me here) but then it dawned on me that social media preferences are shifting with the winds these days. I wonder if you would prefer short blasts in these emails, a summer blog about the Dare series, or social media mini-blogs?
Social Media and Preferences
I surveyed my Insiders several years ago about their social media preferences and Facebook came out on top. My tendency has been to dabble everywhere but focus on Facebook. However, there has been a lot of backlash against Facebook lately, would you help me understand how effective it is for you?

Why This Is Wrong by Monica Bolt
All the reasons why this is wrong:
Reason #1: I thought you were only a one-night stand.
Reason #2: I didn't think that you'd show up as my professor.
Reason #3: I just wasn't... thinking.
This series is so crazy, it’s messed up. Brace yourself for a whole lot of heat, a satisfying HEA, no cheating, and absolutely no cliffhangers.
A Russian Got Me: Vladimir by Just Bae

Today feels eery, I might flirt with him for once.
Today I might get into some trouble...
STUFF I LOVE
The Balanced Life: Recently I discovered Robin Long and her online Pilates classes at The Balanced Life. Robin offers a 5-day challenge with short workouts, so short I had no excuse to avoid them. After five days I was hooked and joined her sisterhood. Now I am doing pilates, eating healthier and feeling a little less stressed.
Better still, Robin is walking the talk. She sent an email this week about her commitment to women - all women. Here's what she said "We are taking steps as a company to make sure that we create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment in and outside The Balanced Life in these three areas:
1. Our team
2. Those that we serve within The Balanced Life community
3. The women that we hope to serve in the future
In an effort to take action and seek accountability, we will be hiring a diversity consultant to help us as we move forward. "
Trying to keep your business going during these tough times? Here are some deals to help:
The She Approach: Calling all writers, bloggers - frankly with the way this thing customizes - calling anyone with an online business of any kind. Meet the Income and expense tracker from the She Approach. Normally I would say build your own spreadsheet instead of customizing this one, but with its current $7,99 including the tutorial on how to use it, the time you save alone is worth the low price. It’s cheap at the regular price of $14, too, but it is irresistible at nearly 50% off.
AppSumo - Entrepreneurs and anyone looking for tools to make like easier, you need to discover AppSumo, your one stop shop for the best deals on software. And their current list of freebies is insane! From productivity tools to the Work at Home Academy, from wordpress tools for your website to legal tools for writing a will, they have a huge selection including something for everyone. Oh, and the prices for the stuff that isn't free? Unbelievably cheap! Check out the latest options at AppSumo.com
Don't forget to engage, speak up and if you haven't already, learn about your local elections and register to vote. Get involved in your community - from school board to city council. Nothing changes if we don't.
Spread a little love.
P.S. Please take a moment to complete the social media preference survey. It only takes a minute.
