Top 3 Actions for a Fast Track to Inner Peace:)

Here's a way to fast track your inner peace!

Hi ,

I chuckle as I write this as 'fast' and 'inner peace' - they aren't often paired or even thought of together!

And yet, this what we want - we want 'fast' solutions.

So here is a way to fast track your inner peace ...

FIRST, remember to check in with yourself - how is your inner peace?

We can't affect a situation until we are aware of it.

Bring your awareness inside and settle into your heart -

How's it going in there??

Yes inside you:), your inner state.

We are so often focussed on our external world we lose track of ourselves.

Does that ever happen to you?

Ok so when you notice your inner peace is needing a revival these three below are all #1 solutions for a fast track to inner peace.

Which one resonates or works for you? Experiment:)

  1. Gratitude can shift your focus from what's missing in your life to what you already have. Even more powerful is to write it down as it registers even more in our consciousness. Focusing on the good stuff can change how we look at our entire day. Also a powerful bedtime practise to help us settle after a full day - what were your moments that you are grateful for.

  1. Breathe - yes!! Do you ever notice how often you may be holding your breath? Breathing right into your belly - belly breathing is calming - upper chest breathing can be anxiety producing. Start with 3 deep breaths and if that hasn't helped enough - then I start using 'the fingers' and count for the 10 breaths in a row.

  1. Come into the present moment - use all 5 senses and notice your sensations - go slowly through each - seeing, hearing, taste, touch, and smell. Also really feel your feet to connect yourself to the ground you stand on. It is a great way to settle and connect to ourselves iin the present moment as sometimes (often:) we can work ourselves up with thinking about the future or past.

Did you know that the state of inner peace results from practise and is a learned skill? Yes you can affect and increase your foundation of inner peace.

When you attend to your inner peace on a consistent daily basis it becomes a state that your brain is familiar with and becomes easier to re-establish and maintain.

As this new year starts to really get going give yourself a wonderful foundation for the year - adopt an awareness of your inner peace, and then try out a practise.

And although we want 'fast' sometimes it is good to go slower and deeper - it can provide a more lasting affect and over time helps to reset your nervous system so it can get back to inner peace much more easily.
