Hi ,
Yes we all have great hopes for 2024 - another fresh start!!
And drinking from glass sure keeps it fresh!!
Lets keep it fresh with new info - have you heard about micro plastics?
Well no doubt you are familiar with those paper cups we get our hot drinks in that don't leak? So in most cases its a liner of polyethylene.
And the vast majority are not recyclable as we would think for a 'paper cup'.
In a study....
"They found that exposure to hot liquid for 15 minutes makes plastic-coated disposable paper cups release 25,000 tiny plastic particles, harmful ions and heavy metals into the liquid."
By the way - this did not occur with room or cooler water temperatures.
Here's the study reference included in a broader review of the topic in WIRED Magazine.
