Hi ,

Are you finding inner peace easy to come by or more challenging than ever!

Well I've heard from many that it seems to be harder than ever with all the chaos the world is presenting to us. So the good news is you are not alone!

Yet sometimes this is of little solace.

Let's get back to basics - how we choose to see the world is everything - and how we see the world is so influenced by how we are feeling, and we can influence and assuage our emotional beings.

My first recommendation is to take the best care of yourself you can.

How do you nurture your being and your nervous system?

What calms you? What feeds your soul? What brings you inner peace?

Often we've not taken a quiet moment to be with ourselves, to provide ourself with nourishment - is it a friendly phone call, a beautiful view, a great book, 5 minutes to ourselves in the morning? Only you will know for sure.

I'm finding just plain more rest is needed - can you find 10 minutes to breathe, close your eyes, lie down?

My fave right now is yoga nidra - whether it is...

Yoga nidra (yogic sleep) is a guided meditation with some breathing and/or a rotating awareness of body parts - this yogic sleep they say is worth about 4-5 times the rest that is actually spent.

Dr. Andrew Huberman is a professor of neurobiology and ophthalmology at Stanford School of Medicine and host of the Huberman Lab podcast (over 6 moillion subscribers!). He advocates for deep rest, yoga nidra on a daily basis.

Here's a link to my favourite 'yoga nidra' maven - Ally Boothroyd

I've no affiliation just a big fan for many years of her recordings.

This link is an 18 minute yoga nidra - I do hope you can find the time and suggest using ear buds for an immersive experience.

Even just 5 deep breaths into the belly can help. bring some calm and inner peace. I do this while I'm driving to calm and ready myself for my next stop.

Try breathing in for 4 counts and out for 6 - longer exhales are known for calming.

In these challenging days - pay attention to yourself and nurture - you'll be better for your world and help your overall health.

Let's do what we can when we can to be better humans.

May peace be with you and gratitude for your practises.

Let's be the change we want to see in the world.

Be well and may you support your inner peace,

Wendy
