Hi ,
Yes you know inner peace is up to you:)
It is a place inside. And particularly in your hands.
My 'go to' at any time I am wanting some inner peace - please try out 5 -10 deep breaths - I use my fingers to count.
Deep belly breaths activates our 'rest and digest' system -
your parasympathetic nervous system.
Truly 5-10 deep breaths into your belly can change the moment.
Always a trusty and simple idea that can be used anywhere, anytime - driving, standing in line, watching your fave show, really countless ways and places to be able to take some deep breaths.
I was wondering - how was that intention setting from last week?
The simple ideas from Winnie the Pooh...
- accepts things as they are
- finds contentment and joy in the simple pleasures of life, like pots of honey
- he accepts setbacks and obstacles and does not get overwhelmed or upset by them
- Pooh’s inner peace comes from his simplicity and his tendency not to overthink or overcomplicate things
- Pooh is flexible and open
- he adapts and lives in the world as it is"
Pick one of the above, create an intention you'd like to practise for the next week. For example,
'I create more inner peace in my life by... being more flexible ' (this your choice).
Repeat your intention twice a day so it can become a conscious thought and choice.
When you practise, the state of inner peace comes more easily. Just like a muscle getting stronger.
What I do know for sure is that Somatic Stretch® is an hour of inner peace while we hold our focus on our inner awareness and stretch by relaxing not releasing.
Come and join me for our Thursday Somatic Stretch® class

I'll send a reminder on Thursday:)
It's easy, just wear loose fitting clothes and bring a cushion/pillow/blanket and settle in for an amazing experience of ease.
We stretch by relaxing rather than reaching.
We focus on the experience, not reaching for a goal.
Delivered by Zoom, our practise is done on the floor and can accommodate all sorts of bodies!
Meanwhile I am grateful for the opportunity to share these simple soulful solutions for inner peace.
Be the beam of love and light in your world that is your true nature.
And may peace be with you,
In gratitude,
Wendy
